I recently stopped drinking after years of drinking more than I should (between 2 to 5 days a week). Sometimes more, sometimes less. Then I recently went 3 weeks without drinking. I started feeling much better overall (emotionally better, less anxious, etc). Then I drank ONE night! The next day I had no headache and I didn't feel sick, but JEEZ my anxiety was thru the roof! I couldn't control my emotions... and it lasted for days and days... I realized that drinking had kept me down (and kept my anxiety high) all those years. Now, I'm determined to stay sober the vast majority of the time... I might still drink once in awhile, but I'm going to be VERY selective about if and when I do. I also have partial hearing loss in my right ear. But, I'm pretty sure it's from a firecracker that a friend and I lit off in my parents car port when I was a teenager.
