Many R&B singers and groups dont get inducted despite meeting the criteria of 25 years and being a major influence. Singers and groups such as New Edition, Whitney Houston, The Gap Band. Barry White, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, Patti Labelle, and of course Jodeci don't even get nominated although hiphop stars do. The rumor has it that those who get nominated and inducted are those who are listened to by a specific group of people. Not to mention the fact that most of the board members are not even musicians.

my daughter was born January 30, 1992 and I remember telling my oldest sister, because I was about 7/8 months pregnant with my first daughter, and I was talking to my sister on the phone, and this was when "Forever My Lady" was being played on the radio, and I remember telling my sister that '"I want to name my unborn daughter Jodeci!" My oldest sister supported this decision and I never regretted making that decision. My daughter was born beautiful and healthy and I am still happy to this day, that I stayed firm on giving her that name. Thank y'all so much for giving us beautifully melodic music.

My son auditioned for The Biopic and got Mr. Dalvin roll lol I laughed because it was only right!😂 That Audition was in Jan 2020..... Covid hit and it was all dropped😔 It's been picked back up but my son was notified again. Jodeci is The Best R & B Band of all time💪🏿 Those vocals are legend

Was JUST trying to describe who Jodeci is to a young coworker (25) yesterday. How do you not know who Jodeci is? I used Dru Hill as a reference point but she still didn't get it (no idea who they were either) til I mentioned New Edition. Jodeci needs a movie or series too. Nobody did it like K-Ci, JoJo, Mr. Dalvin and Devante!

Because there's supposed to be a biopic film that supposed to be on BET and VH1 about their careers hopefully next year the movie finally comes out on BET cause every since the New Edition movie from years ago the producers of the movie are working on the Jodeci film hopefully once this writers strike bullshit ends.

It was Tank and The Valentine's outfits for me!!! I would've done the same lol!!!! I don't think K-Ci really sat down with anyone and told his musical story from inception. This is truly the authority on all things R&B!! This is hands down one of thee best podcasts out there. These stories are legendary and HAVE to be heard.
