Parish could be defined as a congregation However, it's mainly used to indicate the territorial of the certain congregation, it's a location where congregation or parishioners congregate or gather. In Amharic it's like ደብር/ቁምስና እንደምንለው ማለት ነው ። ምዕመናን=congregation/parishioners, parish=ደብር/ቁምስና Another is about offering. Offering comes from the word "to offer" or "to give" which means መስጠት። የመባ concept አለው። ነገር ግን ቀጥታ "መባ" ለማለት it's called "offertory"=መባ። Thanks a lot! Keep the good work🙏
