I have had these on my 06 Fender Jazz for years. I thought they were wore out but after watching you I think I need to check them again.

Nice! I have the same set of flats on my Lake Placid Blue Squier Jazz bass. They sound better the more you break em in.

How would you rate the string tension?

Great player and great tone too! What do you think about Fender Flats? I mean... The 9050 stings are 45-60-80-100. Has this strings a balanced tone with a .45 G string? Thanks

That is one grimy nasty sounding jazz bass...hell yea...what are the pickups in it? Also it's good to see I'm not the only one that closes my eyes when I'm really in the groove

Thanks for this video, very well made, your playing is really superb and your bass sounds and looks amazing! One question since I'm interested in trying these strings, how do you find the tension and which gauge you recommend? Thanks

Thanks! I bought the 045, .060, .080, .100 set. This was my first try on flatwounds. I did some research and these strings were recommended as they seem rather "modern" and more stiff than for example labellas and preserve the jazzbass sound. The playing feel is great. They lose they brilliance after the first week, but I think it will take some time for them to really becoming the flatwound sound everyone is going for. What I really like is that you're by no means restricted in your playing, also slapping feels great and I really dig the tone.

Yes I've tried LaBella and GHS on my jazz bass but they both lacked midrange, I think they work great on P basses though. I'll definitely try that Fender set as your tone is amazing in this video. Thanks
