Jyc Row & Gabriel Borza - Onward (feat. Jessy Christ) [METAL COVER]
Heya everyone!
Finally, a new upload here! And this time, something I wanted to do for a long time... a metal cover of Onward! :D
This is probably the "heaviest" track there is on my channel so far (I mean, this song even contains some screaming in it) and, honestly, I really like how it turned out!
IMPORTANT: Aight, gonna update stuff and all, even though it's kinda meaningless:
I'll be taking a break on music (personal project) and all for an undetermined amount of time.
Been a few days/months I have a lot of trouble doing music things, feeling uninspired and, all in all, completely burned out of it.
I'll just mainly focus myself on the IEO novel this year, wishing to have it done and physically released before conventions, but that's it.
Every other personal projects of mine are now on hold until I get back that "spark" of inspiration/motivation again.
No idea how much time it'll take but don't expect much music from me in 2023 if things don't get better on my end regarding that, might dive into something else to change my horizons and ideas. We'll see how it goes!
Also, to add up to that, as you saw in the video, my program kept crashing several time when I tried to add the lyrics in the video. Doing that takes a lot of time and at the end, well, I said to myself : "Alright, no lyrics it is then". x)

Big thanks to Gabriel, as always, for the fantastic guitars and drums! Props to Jessy as well for those powerful vocals - I absolutely LOVE how it turned out, especially the screaming before the last chorus! :D

Ngl... these metal versions of songs seem like... off rythm and less coherent. Personal opinion and taste probably but...
To be honest... I rather original XD I mean, music itself is really good and I love how it's chagned into metal style, but I feel it's a little... quiet? Or something? And vocal sounds muffled. I'm really fan of metal music, but here... I feel it could be better. Especially looking at your other works. Like "Sun of The Night", "The Necromancer" or "Luna's Future" remix/edit
Luna look so fierces this time . She looks like a new pony through this song remix . The remix and the animation make me feel lile I was in her show . Luna , you just become my favorite Rock n Roll singer . Jyc , you just make her 20% cooler this time and dont worry about taking a break cause it's important to focus on your life and family

this is the real reason for the banishment luna to the moon. She became a better singer than Celestia. She also became a goth and started wearing chains and spikes
Luna going full metal..... it fits.

Hey that's perfectly fine to want to take a break and regain that spark. It comes for us all eventually and it's best to not let it get too bad that you want to quit something you love. Hope this break works wonders for ya and you have a good 2023!
