Heya everyone!
Happy Nightmare Night / Halloween 2023! :D
Been a while since a posted something as, once again and as always, life has been busy here outside of music BUT here's one of the two exclusive bonus songs that were on the "Infinite Eclipse: Prequel" CD sold at Galacon: the metal cover of Nerath's theme! :D
Now, I know I previously said I hesitated making a metal cover of that one as it wouldn't really fit the "vibe" of the Crystallized but... a lot of people wanted it and it wouldn't have been fair to Nerath if only Aqasha and the Molten got their metal version, so here we are!
For that cover, I once again was helped by the fantastic guitarist Gabriel Borza, who also programmed the drums! Plus, I worked a second time with Michael Gildner - who previously sang "Last Ramparts" almost two years ago - to cover the vocals here!
Though, I still kept some of Koa's great vocals in the background, as I thought it worked amazingly here as a "response" to Michael durinh some parts.
Gotta admit, I cannot decide which cover I prefer the most - Aqasha or Nerath? Feel free to let me know your favorite in the comments! :D

Not to be rude, but oh god Jyc you were painfully wrong when you said that Nerath and metal wouldn’t mesh together- this is AWESOME! Another masterpiece cranked out on the most thematically appropriate holiday for this goddess is truly a wonderful gift, thank you so much and everyone who worked on it!

May I ask why the lyric "The conquer of our god..." was changed to "The conquer of our queen..."? Any particular reason?

Hearing this song again, it just occurred to me that this song reminds me of Queen Nehelenia from Sailor Moon, or even an evil version of Neo-Queen Serenity, if she and the Sailor Senshi were all evil.

I don't think there's a single song you've made in this entire series I haven't loved. And this one is no exception. Amazing work! You're right that the Crystalized don't really suit the more energetic feeling of metal, but that doesn't mean you can't make it work, and you made it work nicely here. The Crystalized, I feel, work much better with a low, haunting melody, feeling like a waking nightmare just waiting for you to fall asleep and claim you as it's own, forever.
