Thank you! I'm very happy you like him. I appreciate the comment. Dan
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. It's always nice to hear from you. Dan
I'm sorry. It's a long story, but I lost my KZread channel. When I got it back I lost all of my subscribers, almost five thousand of them. So none of them, like you, got any notice about this new video. I'm so glad you found it. Thank you for your support. Dan
You are a crazy musician John! I'm glad you found me. I accidentally erased my KZread channel a few weeks ago when I erased a Google profile. It was a nightmare. I was able to retrieve my videos but lost all of my subscribers, 4,500 of them. So none of my friends have been notified of my new video. Thank you for you support. You are always too kind. Dan
Este es el primer comentario! Muchas gracias por sus amables palabras. Me alegro de que te gusten mis vídeos. tener cuidado Dan

Hey Stella, Your alien scull....THAT is cool. Thank you as always. Dan
Hey there. Actually, the scales are also cloth. After sculpting with paper mache I add a "skin" of cloth (old bed sheets as you mentioned) dipped in white glue. I call the process "cloth mache" for lack of a better term. Good luck! Have some fun! Dan
Thank you. I have made birds. I used colored feathers from hobby supply stores and hot glue. I appreciate the nice comment. Dan
You can see this build on my blog. Just follow the link under the video. That will help you more than my explanation here I think. Good luck. Dan
My goodness this is amazing. Your dragon videos are my inspiration for my house decorating! Thank you for sharing!
Hi there, I've made several birds over the years. I just haven't done any videos of them. But perhaps..... Thank you for stopping by. Dan

Hello Ally. Thank you for the nice comment! After sculpting with paper mache pieces, I put on a final "skin" of cloth (old bed sheets) dipped in white glue (Elmer's or PVA). There is more information on my blog if you are interested. Just follow the link under the video. Take care Dan

Hey again, I think it's really an illusion with the camera. It isn't that smooth if you were to see it in person. The one thing that helps is to build tension into the tape. I touch on end of the tape and then pull the tape across. It gets pretty tight that way. Good luck Dan
Wow Christian, I'm very flattered! Yes, this is one of "Dani's dragons". My interpretation after reading the books and watching the TV series. Thank you again. Dan

I show a few dragons being made on my blog. Just follow the link under the video. You can see all the steps there. The white material is cloth (an old bed sheet) dipped in white glue. Thank you for your kind words. Good luck! Dan
I use polymer clay, like Super-Sculpy or Fimo for teeth and claws. Spikes are just wire, paper and tape. There is much more information on my site and I show many sculptures being made on my blog. Just follow the links under the video. Dan

OMG this is Drogon one of the Dragon of Daenerys Targaryen it was named after her late husband. I remember when she said "Zaldrīzes buzdari iksos daor" meaning A dragon is not a slave. Dan, you are amazing! It's 2:15 am now here in the Philippines and I keep hitting the re-play button.

Very good likeness. And amazing stance. Totally love it. Question: Wire hangers are cheaper than getting just the wire? ;-)
@Gourmetpapermache
10 жыл бұрын
Hi again. I suppose it depends upon where you are. Wire clothes hangers used to be everywhere. Not so much any more. But you can still find hundreds at "thrift" stores. People sell them online too. I bought many there for not much money. Clothes hangers are really nice to work with. But any wire will work. Dan

I got those eyes at glasseyes (dot com). They are in the UK. But I altered the a bit. I wanted some white around the red, so I ground some of the paint off and put white in. I think they were around 20mm. Dan
