He also, in another clip I've seen of this same interview, called Justin by the wrong first name (and mispronounced McElroy) and never realized to correct himself despite even having a giant version of the cover of their book with their names prominently on it directly next to him the entire time. The interviewer is a moron and clearly did not prepare for a single minute.

I SUBSTITUTED THIS 400 CAL RICE WITH 50 CAL CAULIFLOWER AND I SAW A DIFFERENCE. like yea buddy math will do that to you

@@DimT670 I mean, the basis for the fad does have a kernel of truth to it - basically a nutritionist was looking into why Inuit communities up near the arctic dont suffer from malnutrition despite eating an almost pure meat diet of seals and fish, and found that while the body prefers to metabolize glucose, if you run out of carbohydrate reserves, it instead starts metabolizing ketone (hence keto diet), which requires more initial energy to process, thus meaning less fat gets stored with the same amount of intake. Of course, meat is much higher density energy than grains and sugar, so most of the reported results are due to the weight loss that always happens when you suddenly make drastic changes to your day to day diet.

Checking in as that age demographic, episode 623(4? I can't remember which I just heard) was absolutely great and they're still doing well. It's a perk of enthusiastically being a good person, your mistakes are seen as just that.
