Black manta is a well trained human in a scuba suit that shoots lasers, deathstroke should kill him easily

Despite how extremely dark this storyline is, its kinda cool to see characters outright killing each other. Makes it much more realistic and tense cause you dont know who would be next

Deathstroke is such a savage in this scene. Had the crew of the Ravager not been ambushed by Atlantis, I'd say they had a pretty good shot of completing their mission.

I don't understand how Aquaman didn't win the war. He had giant monsters in the ocean and superior tech.

The costume design for Garth and Kaldur here is spectacular. Imagine if Aquaman actually did have two sidekicks at the same time in Garth and Kaldur'ahm. Both their skills complement each other and would make the 3 of them a powerful team.

I wouldn’t have sent a ship crewed with my top strategist, top assassin, and a high profile shape shifter to a major enemy port. I would have sent a Drone or a Drone fleet (aka lots of small fast boats) with appropriate sensory gear in a net link formation. To avoid this, you know, a massive loss of a quality force.

Different timeline, weaker characters on human side and much stronger characters on Atlantian side. For example: Superman was never a hero or known among people , so Lex remained a good guy and never tried to make powerful weapons which can kill beings like Superman.

They put up one hell of a fight but the odds where against them fighting in the middle of the ocean. Even if Deathstrokes crew gained the upper hand Aquaman would’ve just came out and ended real quick.

This movie proves you should never underestimate Aquaman.

Being able to survive at the bottom of the ocean AND on regular land is a super badass power and then you factor the ability to communicate with all the fishes and jellies and shaaks and dorifin and wharu (and even a badass trident hand in some runs) Aquaman is hella underrated

Wouldn't it have been awesome to see Deathstroke fight in the end battle in the movie? That would have been a cooler death too, instead of the lame one that he could have easily avoided.

I watch this every 4 months or so

Didn't reach much of DC's comics growing up so this movie was a total surprise to me when I watched it ages ago. Loved it and it's still one of the best.

That was the most epic last words I've ever heard! Gotta hand it to Lex Luthor for that awesome last liner..

As dark as this was, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War somehow manages to exceed the gore and brutality of this movie. Nothing like seeing some fav characters murdered to leave you shook.

You know its messed up when Aquaman and Black Manta have to team up against another force

Yeah in the comics Deathstroke can survive anything short of complete incineration, maybe. He has survived a nuke, several head shots, a vacuum, and hell itself.

+AMV Dragon In the comics, this fight never happened. Flashpoint Deathstroke never died, he went out here to find his daughter. One of the three villains you see on the ship, (Sonar, Icicle Jr., and Clayface) mutinied, and he was forced to kill him. They then left Atlantean waters.

+Retsnom45 It's basically the same characters. Alternate universes are used so they can fight to the death....but not really be gone forever.

I never thought I'd ever see tempest(garth) and aqualad(kaldar) team up with ocean master(orm)

It's pretty neat seeing Kaldur'ahm adapted to other DC media as a second Aqualad so quickly after his introduction in Young Justice.

This would be a badass live action movie.Gal Got and Jason Momoa fighting it out on the big screen with there badass armies.

I remember when i first saw this it was so fascinating to me how things got changed and how depressing it was too

THE ANIMATION OF THIS FRANCHISE IS 👌🏻💯🔥

This was the start of one of the best animated superhero movies ever, the action and gore is just that good as a starting point, not as intense as anime out there, but it's still very good

Aquaman, Ocean Master, Black Manta, Aqualad, and the Atlantean Army is like an unfair super team

The Atlantean already won the battle as soon as their giant most powerful sea vassals appeared. There weren't any need for a hand to hand fight with the naval ships.

Garth and Kaldur are being badass in here. As a YJ fan, I'm in love. Also Tula!

3:37 pretty much the last words I’d expect from Luthor. I also find pretty funny that he is a lot more stable in a world without Superman

Deathstroke is supposed to be strongest mercenary in the world to easily best anyone, but he was easily brought down by Black Manta's eye blast.

As much as I love the DC animated movies, little things like that really bug me. Orm taking the Justice league to town in the next animated universe, or Batman losing to Talon. Just frustrating

Strange how the ones without powers lived longer than the ones with powers

DC animated movies are infinitely better than the DCEU and MCU. cheeky line but go on with the story, which is always coherently wriiten.

DC is king in animation. Very dark and more realistic, Marvel is just too cheesy and can't even show too much blood

Flashpoint paradox is one of the DC Universe things that made me love Deathstroke Others are Young Justice, DC Rebirth Deathstroke comic, and Arkham Origins

Every Villains are hero's... and every Hero's are Villains. Everyone have Two faces...

People tend to forget Aquaman can actually wipe out every living form outside the sea, but human race is lucky he kinda cares for them, but always more for atlanteans.

Of course he could, the writing is trash. That laser would obliterate him. He destroys ships with it, a human body would be nothing to him.

@@killebee6183 from what I know his regeneration isn't instant, and even then, black manta's eye beams can destroy entire boats, deathstroke was screwed the second he got caught off guard

HORSESNDOGS9 Even if you can predict it, if they are pointed at you and fired unless you can move faster than light speed there really isn't anything you can do.

Man that was a very intense DC animated fight scene even for a movie!!! BTW, those Atlantean soldiers and how they rose their ship up and made their attack remind me of the Silurians from Doctor Who (reptilean humanoids). But this is how they should those classic monsters could've been reintroduced: They would be mutated/hybrid of fish and reptilean yet humanoid looking that reside in the Silur region of Atlantis. Around ancient times, the Atlantean army were never complete without the Silur Alliance that was until the entire land sank into the ocean, the Silur Alliance and the rest of them are believed to be dead yet trapped in a cave for the next lot of years until an oil rig broke the caves open, releasing the now armed, militant, ruthless and cold-blooded killing machines that are the Silurians as coined by UNIT and a couple of Doctor Who's companions. They attack on a US warship first and the rest shall be history! hehehehehe

I kinda feel let down that Deathstroke and Lex Luthor, 2 most dangerous villains in the main storyline, was nerfed in the Flashpoint timeline :/ I know Lex and Deathstroke should let Batman and Flash have the centre stage, but still not to be killed so easily and early
