The best superhero movie opening

This is an addition that Whedon made that I actually liked. It felt like something Snyder would do and gave me Watchmen opening credits vibes

That song was definitely one of the few highlights from Whedon's version.

Im willing to bet this was originally Zack's idea , to use this song for the opening, knowing his love for L.Cohen, and that you-know-who took credits for it

I think the whole song should of played showing more crime besides someone kicking a box of fruit and yelling at a family. Show people in riots, robbing, and killing the world in chaos. The opening was good but the Watchmen was superior.

The only thing i miss from JL 2017

Everybody knows that the song is one of the best lyrical songs which you should listen. Feels new every time...and everybody knows.

Lowkey the one thing I missed in the Snyder cut

Really reflects the hopelessness of the opening scenes... the newspaper lining the pigeon coup with the headline, "Superman Is Dead," the sign at the old homeless guy's feet, "I Tried," Superman's memorial, etc. Really helped create the mood. Great song!!

Say what u want about Zack but he is a director of vision unique to himself. The opening scene is something you will never find in a marvel movie. It has got its own tone and atmosphere. Many people wonder why can't Zack Snyder make the movie as light as marvel. But that's because as a director of that caliber, they stay true to their vision, that's their signature in the film industry. Respect to him for sticking to his guns in times like this.

Guy Randomized Film wasn't good périod, don't say that he stayed true to his vision when he didn't finish the movie or cut it . The Guy from the first avenger did and that explains why the movie looks like it's half finished. No disrespect to Snyder tho, he's à good director things just didn't go his way and he had to leave the set for personal reasons

i think it's because of superman's death. He tried to do his best but couldn't. Superman inspired people but becoz he died, he had nothing to inspire him. He tried to keep making efforts after Supes death, but couldn't.

MovieM@ The I tried thing meant that he (the homeless guy) tried to change his situation in an indifferent society & ended up right where he started. It's used to show how the world has become hopeless without superman.

i'm just average movie fan, i know what people say about this movie but i really like this movie, honestly i really enjoy every minutes of this movie, especially the opening scene when this song played, man i really got the vibe, the desperate of people have, lost of hope and sadness when we know the defender of earth is gone.

My favorite movie songs: 1) Movie: Skyfall; song: "Skyfall" by Adele 2) Movie: Justice League; song: "Everybody Knows" by Sigrid 3) Movie: 1917; song: "I am a Poor Wayfaring Stranger" by Jos Slovick

Song was a great touch, perfect for the opening. Movie is pretty good, don't listen to the critics.

This song would have been perfect for the Season 6 premiere of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Love the simplicity in the start that slowly descends into more harsh and punishing lyrics with darker undertones.

This song is old. you should hear the oroiginal. this does not do it any justice at all. Leonard is in a League of his own.

This song was so perfect in the film. It actually enhanced the scene and made us feel more. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the rest of the soundtrack.
