I agree PJ... the middle should have been a bright yellow same as the flag. The designers will come to rue that decision.

As a new collector I was devastated not to be able to get a C mint mark one. I feel really cheated and the RAM is starting to turn me off collecting, there needs to be more equity in availability. I had read 3 per customer and thought no problems, then was so angry to see people on ebay with boxes. I hope they get their act together for the next release. So disappointed.

call the mint as they did have stock a few days ago although the website says they have not

I got the email from ram as a member at 7am in the morning and I attempted to order 2x c mint at morning tea for my kids roughly 10am and they were sold out. Pj if you can help with this I'd appreciate it as I regularly SUPERCHAT during your live streams, the ability for me to get a couple for jade and Dylan would be nice cheers all the same if not but man I feel let down by the ram😩

Yep limit of three. Cant wait for mine. I agree with your comment about the yellow. The Flag is simply not gold and the colours essential to the meaning of the flag, therefore the coin is an illegitimate rendering.

I was told by the Mint when I rang on the day (AND missed out!) that only 5 people bought the coin at 100 per person before they realised their mistake and lowered it to 25. Even 25 was stupid as the standard was kept at a maximum of 3!. Go figure? As a result, the usual suspects were straight on to EBay with photos of boxes of 25 and flogging them at exorbitant prices. The Mint has done us toe rag collectors no favours. What a dogs breakfast they are...Grrrrrrrrr.

Oh that is why they all went. Could not the mint cancel the orders? Lot of people on facebook give hell to those who are selling at $50. But glad they have decreased to $30 now.

Got mine too 👍Yellow in the centre would have been better.

The release of the firefighters coin was a big disappointment. Told many different stories why they were sold out. Online was no different. As a collector it frustrates me to see by 10 am the coins on Ebay selling for 3to 4 times the issue price. I heard the number of mint rolls realised by the RAM increased by 5o% to 7500 rolls. As a collector this released has dampened my interest in future releases.

I have bought this set and yes your correct, the yellow would have popped.

The yellow of the firefighters coin should have been in the middle of the Aboriginal flag coin.

They are all nice coins and yes the flag should of been yellow not brass colour you don't mess with flag colours they should of made the effort to make it yellow. HH Brad

Didn't know that the 12 July is the Anniv of the Flag.. I joined the Navy on 12 July the year before. A special date for me.

They’re some beautiful coins. I think I might purchase that 2021 mint set.

I don't think the 5c, 10c and the 20c will be produced for circulation.

the 'ribbing' under the colour on the 2 dollar coin is part of the design of the coin. Look closely and you can see the multiple aboriginal flags all joined together to form the circle

Personally, I like the $2 Aboriginal Flag coin just as it is, but it would be nice with yellow as well. Have been getting a few 2020 20c and $1 coins lately just in change (from Woolies).

I agree mate, the middle should be yellow. Every time you say "...and should be put in circulation...." I laugh. I haven't even seen the 50 cent coin from a long time ago, actually I'm yet to see a coloured coin in circulation. I don't get my hopes up. Thanks PJ.

@@rickichristian5603 . Not impossible, PJ certainly gets a few. I haven't seen any this year but my friends in Adelaide have managed to get them. I was in Adelaide visiting my family last year and my sister received the Police $2 in change and she gave it to me but I didn't get anymore of them. Most of them are on ebay. That's why there's so few in circulation

My sister &co went to the Mint last sat, got me prezz, flag set an two non C firefighter, 3 per person. I got 2 so im happy but C marked all sold out. C privy would have been nice for my collection but only penioner. Cant afford $50 on e-bay for a $15 coin.

This set reminds me of the 1990 set.

Definitely missed yellow, this is an incomplete design... Ram with their attention to detail.

Until the government removes the intellectual property rights someone bought and acquired on the Australian Aboriginal Flag, this coin is basically meaningless. They have to get permission from the owners who bought the rights to use it as their symbol. That's capitalism for ya. Yay corporations. not
