Less than two days after that post, the 43-year-old Timberlake was arrested in the early morning hours in Sag Harbor, New York. He has been charged with driving while intoxicated. TMZ reported that the star had been enjoying downtime with friends before attempting to leave the hotel where they had gathered. Police pulled him over shortly after and arrested him. NBC reported that the singer claimed to have had only a martini. Timberlake was arraigned on the morning of June 18, 2024. Along with the DWI charge, he has also been cited for running a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane. He was released without bail, and a court date has been scheduled for July 26th. As of the making of this video, Timberlake has yet to make any public statements about his arrest, but he has upcoming tour dates in Chicago.
For his part, Timberlake celebrated Father's Day by posting photos of his family on Instagram. He wrote about his sons, "My two greatest gifts. I learn more about myself every day just because you both chose me to be your daddy. I will always be there for you through your peaks and valleys, to lift you up and show you how high you can take this life, and to pick you up when you fall." He also promised to shower them with insufferable dad jokes and expressed his love for them. A few weeks earlier, Timberlake posted a heartfelt Mother's Day message for Biel, sharing a short Instagram montage of his wife in different settings, overlaid with audio from "Mirrors," a song he has hinted was written in Biel's honor.
