    Old truckers trick to fix a leaking ruptured gas tank from e.g. turning around 3 point and backing into rock that ruptures or cause gasoline tank to partially split on seam. Bar of soap rubbed really hard and fast from under vehicle at point of leakings, will possibly be good enough temporary fix to get your vehicle driving to shop before gas leaks out.

    Fabric strips soaked in paraffin or cotton balls coated with Vaseline will do about the same, but much easier and probably safer.

    ​@@BrianRead-mf7puNo, liquid soap, mixed with bleach, is how you make homemade Mustard gas. Using soap powder or shavings is what makes Napalm stick, melt, and burn for extended periods of time. You'll get the same effect melting Styrofoam with the gas.

    Ever heard of wax, beeswax, does similar, way way less toxic and smells way say better? Candle wax works great too, comes with a handy melting device, the wick, just light and molten wax magically appears, spread on paper or wood, job done. Unless you're a fan of toxic explosive fumes, your choice. The wax also waterproofs yhr paper or wood , very useful in damp conditions. May I respectfully ask you (the content creator) to remove this from KZread and release on TikTok where it maybe better received ...

    @@MrSabram07 The wax makes anything like paper or wood burn easily. It will set when cool, then ignite really easily later on, basically a fire lighter. Paper burns well, paper and wax burns way better.

    I collect the remains of wax candles that I melt and add sawdust from my table saw and other saws and mix and put the mixture in cupcake tin and when it’s hard put them in storage until I use them. They don’t smell of gas and work great.

    Living on a farm 70 years ago we used crumpled newspaper and water to make a paper maché. Then added paraffin (kerosene). Made little balls and left them out to dry. Made excellent firelighters for the wood burning stove.

    Yup. Only I used the cardboard egg cases. Fill them with wood shavings or sawdust and pour melted wax into each hole until it is full. When dry, cut the carrier into pieces, making sure each piece has a piece of the cardboard sticking out. Now you have firestarter balls. Light😊 that cardboard and put under your kindling, and you have fire. Enjoy.

    Same here. But we used the cardboard egg cartons filled with sawdust and shavings then filled them with old candle wax. Worked great when the wood was damp to wet and paper with dry kindling just wasn't enough.

    @@mamawlife7852 it's earlier, and less dangerous,to use wads of paper or corrugated paper wrapped the a roll, about 2" in diameter, then soaped in melted wax from old candles than going through all the steps presented. Tip: use string to hold the corrugated paper in a roll while the wax is cooling.

    As an alternative to a soap bar, just dip the wood in the gasoline and light it with a match, or better yet just light the wood with a match?......way cheaper and potentially less harmful. Some of these inventions are great, however this overkill.

    Ahh I see thank U thank... I've just been using gasoline and couldn't get a flame goin' at all.. so soaps the secret ingredient to get a fire going ay..nice thanks buddy .. PS since gas isn't extremely flammable and won't start a fire without soap can I just use soap? Or is it the molecular structure of the 2 combining that makes it flammable? It's a safe way to do it I get that lol
