Just lemon and milk! Homemade feta cheese in 5 minutes! 4.5 times cheaper than in the store!
Hi everyone! 2 liters of milk. I use purchased milk. 1 teaspoon of salt. Put the milk on the fire. 1 lemon. Roll the lemon well until it becomes soft. Squeeze the lemon juice. When the milk is almost boiling, add lemon juice. After 3-5 minutes the milk will curdle. The whey separated well. After boiling, do not cook for more than 3 minutes. Prepare a cup and a sieve. Transfer the curd mixture. Leave for 10 minutes. Chop the greens. I have cilantro today. Mix well. Put in the cheese pan. Put a weight on top. Leave for 3-4 hours. Our cheese is ready.     Jm from Greece Its a nice white cream cheese but NOT φέτα"feta". J wrote again,feta has only sheep's milk and needs 2 monthes to be in salt water. Feta with herbs is funny.

    Unfortunately... 1) cilantro and coriander are 2 separate herbs... 2 ) you cannot make feta cheese without cultures.. 3 ) you have made anthotiro ( ανθότυρο) cheese without cultures 4) Greetings from Greece ....αμα εσύ έχεις φτιάξει φέτα εγώ θα βγω γυμνός στους δρόμους , από ποτέ η φέτα απέκτησε κόλιανδρο κ χυμό λεμονιού μονο εσύ το ξέρεις....

    Tell me please,why you continue about feta???? Tell the truth,this is a soft cheece. Its possile a Toyota car to be BMW???? A Skoda to be Mercedes? A VW to be Honda? Yes,they are excellent cars and they have a name but they arent the same. So feta is a strong cheece ,not soft.

    Actually, coriander is the seed that is left after the cilantro plant flowers, blooms and then the flowers die. The green leaves is the cilantro we know as a fresh component, but the coriander seed is usually toasted and crushed or ground. Two parts of the same plant, both words in ‘English’.
