Just how good is the Roborock S7's new Sonic Mopping?

We put the new Sonic Mopping feature of the Roborock S7 to the test. It's cleaning up dried snow and salt (because its winter in the Midwest!). See for yourself how well it does - or doesn't do.
The Roborock S7 will be available for purchase on March 24 for $649!

I'm curious if you slide your finger though the "mopped" area, is there any leftover powder that will get on the finger? Or is it as clean as actual water mopping.

Does the S7 offer a Cross hatch pattern (both vertical & horizontal passes)?

Yes it does, you can choose that in the app.

Don’t know if that good or bad. Seems to have left a lot. Probably needs to clean slower

It was speed up a lot...we didn't think a lot of people wanted to sit through 12 minutes of it running back and forth lol It really only left stuff on the side by the edge, which I think is expected since the scrubbing part is more in the middle of the vacuum.

@@androidheadlines Ok. Maybe it's the angle looks like it missed a lot in the middle and streaked

This is actually really good in comparison to the current Roborock Mop solution. Can anyone confirm that S7 will be able to use auto empty thing. I’ve seen some marketing shots but I don’t see any ports on the bottom of the robot for emptying.

Can you guys confirm that S7 has ports for auto emptying function? I’ve seen some marketing shots of this feature but when looking at the bottom of the robot I can’t see any ports used for this function.

It will support the auto-emptying dock when it launches later this year.

Pretty sure that it'll empty through the brush port. How well that'll work, nobody is sure :/

Evet if it will support it, i think it is not very usefull without "cleaning the main brush " function or a method that avoids mess in the main brush.

Besides the dust container in the robot's body there is a flap that must be removed when using with the upcoming auto-empty dock.
