My dream robot vacuum would basically be a roomba with slightly better mapping. It should be available in a few different colours/patterns (like a galaxy pattern, something like I paint on mine) so people could choose something more colorful and not gray/black/white. Also I dream of a floor scrubber similar to scooba, not really a fan of shinebots (although I love the name)

The perfect robot vacuum should have a soft roller and a regular one like the shark apex. Would make it great for hard floors and carpet.

@Interesting Videos I’ve had both. Both are impressive uprights. Each has merit. The Vertex over all but Apex has the powered handheld roller brush. Why not on the Vertex, Shark?

Wow...a robot vacuum that pretty much goes in straight logical lines. That's really impressive. Thanks for putting the ranked list of results at the end and yes 4K is better in my opinion.

Adam noticed the S7 didn’t have a pre map, thought you wa wallowing then to have a map first? Maybe why it missed the spot it did? Didn’t notice too much in 4K

I think you should also record the time it has taken the robots to complete the pick up challenge, this may be a factor for some. The S9 beats the S7 on pickup but im guessing the S7 did it in half the time which would be impressive. is the few ounces worth the time it saved, so it could move onto the next job.

So this one is your 3rd choice. One major flaw on the S7 is the mop system on carpets like you shown on your previous video. So, buying this robot, we're paying also for that innovative mop feature that doesn't do a good job on carpets. Also, besides paying for the S7, then we'll have to pay (probably a good amount) for the self empty bin that seems will only be released when a new model comes out 🤦 Thanks for the review

Doesnt do a good job on carpets is incorrect. It works for low pile carpets, that's all. About the bin, it will be released mid to end of July, there are reviewers already testing it out on KZread.

@@xeon2k8 If you saw the other video review about the roborock in carpets, you probably saw that the carpet wasn't very high and even though, it ended up wet. Anyway, i agree with the review when is said that is best to have 2 separate systems. Also, regarding the Auto-Empty Dock, i found 2 videos but only saw one yet. Seems to be really big and my questions is how much it will cost (probably a lot) and if it will be compatible with other bags.

@@Kurt013 what robo-vac manufacturer makes a bag compatible with other brand? regarding the vibrarise, i havent got to watch any other review, i own an S7 for 2 months already and have a REALLY low pile carpet, the manual and reviews say 5mm rising. Take your measurements and decide for yourself.

Thanks Adam for the 4K upgrade. It’s always appreciated for a clearer picture on bigger sets. I’m still not convinced on the S7 don’t want it dragging a dirty mop pad on my carpet. My carpet is thick and dense. HDR is next and dayglo cereal for color popping images! FTW. Great job and I do subscribe. Dream robot is the iRobot replacement for their S9+, bigger battery, LiDAR, general improvements. I want the smart bin. Even my 981 tells me to empty it so a self empty would be awesome.

Roborock's Auto-Empty Dock sounds promising. Roborock mentions that it can suck up M5 Screws, which are like the size of large debris. It also does well with carpet fibers and fine dust, so very high hopes! It is also really cool that you can change suction levels for the Auto-Empty Dock. No other Robot Vacuum company has ever done that on a Self-Emptying Bin robot. Sadly, the Roborock Auto-Empty Dock will ONLY be bagged for the US. Other areas have bagless, and even hybrids! Still, very excited. You can also be confident in filtration, because not only is there a filtered bag, but there is also a 2 layer filtration system as well. Once again, something no other robot vacuum company has done. Most just use a bag, and the Shark IQ does have a 3 layer filtration system, but that's because it is bagless. Very high hopes! It sounds loud, and so far based on the very very limited reviews, it is probably the best Auto-Empty Dock on the market right now.
