Colossos: 3 Years Verdict: Still better than La Ronde

For all the hate Heide Park get's in the German Community for being in a bad overall shape, scrapping a lot of old Flatrides and don't introducing new and exciting rides for years it is really great to see such a positive Video about the Park that's showing that they in fact keep their Staff well trained and having fast dispatches on all their coasters. Thank you for doing an Operations Video for Heide Park.

Well, they also rethemed some rides and it is not even that bad :) like the dragon cave boat ride. The same ride looked terrible in 2014 and was insanely boring. They did a god job there.

The Italian community is exactly the same but with Gardaland.

@@MondoCoasters And here I am thinking that Gardaland isn't even the best Park in Italy. I had much more fun in Mirabilandia and Movieland Park. Heck, even Rainbow Magic Land and Cinecitta World are very solid Parks and I had probably more fun at Leolandia than I should have as a 31 year old guy without kids (though we where a group of 4 adults without kids when visiting)

I'm here for the music.

I think the main reason the operations in America are a lot slower is a mixture of people taking their sweet time getting to their seats and ride attendants that think they are in no hurry of dispatching

Like you see on Big Loop? People usualy only do it like you see it in the video on rides that are running only a single train, in such a scenario pretty much only someone from the train you are in or a RideOp could steal your bag or something from it, in both cases the person doing it has to be insanely stupid to do it. If you want to see real trust with bags you should look at the Bobsled Coaster and both the Logflume and River Rapids at Tripsdrill, People that don't want to keep their bags with them on the ride just throw everything on a big pile of bags in the Station of these rides, there is no way the Operators of these rides could even attempt to keep track of what bag belonged to what person. Guess Park Visitors are just honest people around here.

I went in June last year, our first ride was Colossos and we only waited for just under a 1h. The rest of the day, everything was under 40min.

Austin Bullis he asked if we had fast passes. The park was dead, so we said no, and he walked away. It made no sense.

Most Coasters in Europe do have some sort of storage for personal Items on the Station Platform, a lot of them even on a per Train basis. Coasters that don't have that are usualy tamer rides that allow or even require you to keep your bags with you in the train. It is insanely rare to have a coaster in Europe that both doesn't have a storage system and doesn't allow to keep Items in the Train.

Brandon I film all the operations videos on my phone so that way if a ride does have lockers, I can still film the dispatch with my phone. That way all the shots look the same. I always go to amusement parks with sealable pockets so I never lose my valuables.

It's a Hydraulic Launch, so the train has to be moved forward to hook into the catch car. Guess safety measurements don't allow to connect the train to the catch car while they are loading it.

Did you also went to The Efteling?

Blocky it's fun but it's definitely shorter than I would've liked. The brakes hit very unexpectedly.

kerstobi i'm not from Germany and by no means did I visit every park in the country, but I really liked Heide Park! Shame Colossos wasn't open, but the place was really nice!

Coaster Studios Heide Park is one of my favorite parks in Germany, but many guys in the german coaster scene hate the park for no reason. I don’t get it. Don’t let them fool you!

@@spuukyghost I don't get it either. We have Parks that are in a much worse shape. Sure, Heide Park isn't one of the big players like Europa Park, Phantasialand or arguably Hansa Park, but I still think that Heide Park is far away from being as bad as a lot of people say it is.
