    The issue is not always what is called, but when it is called. Throwing a PI flag on a defender when the pass is caught the receiver goes down is a penalty flag that can be counted, but it would be declined. The crooked ref can then say "See? We throw penalties on both teams!". Not throwing flags is another issue. Look at some of the edge rushers this season that are being held, choked, etc on just about every play with no calls being made.

  • @maxoptimized

    @maxoptimized

    Because the PI normally makes it to where you wont be catching the ball. They do get thrown even when the player catches the ball. Its pretty obvious why this would happen this way though, and its not due to conspiracy. The NFL is def not rigged. I know several NFL players and an MLB player. You think these people train and play all the way through high school and college just to get to the NFL and suddenly start playing "rigged" games? Lmfao. What about the CFL? They make plenty of bad calls too, are they also rigged? Maybe, just maybe, as it goes in every sports league, bad calls will be made, especially when you have weird rules like the NFL.

    I have never seen a year as bad as this year. Until I watched that Miami-Philadelphia game I really never wanted to think of the NFL as being rigged, but I came away with a different mind set afterward. That might have been the single worst officiated game I have ever seen in my life. What's worse is there are no punishments given out to these officials. Saying that they won't get to officiate the playoffs obviously isn't enough of a deterrent, otherwise we wouldn't see a continuation of these calls. I think the biggest problem is that the NFL for being a billion dollar industry is the one sport that does not employ all full time officials and this is the result and we as the fans get to pay the price for it.

  • @donnyfoster1859

    @donnyfoster1859

    Right, if they get punished and not get the chance to officiate a playoff game, that’s not a punishment at all, they get a weekend off work that’s all, they need to fire these bad refs to make it so it don’t happen

    @@donnyfoster1859 I'm not even entirely convinced anymore that these refs aren't getting their cues prior to the games from the head office on how to lead the game. As I said, I wasn't convinced about these games being rigged until I've seen these dismal officiating calls like never before. It's just left me wondering if the refs make these calls to lead the game in a certain direction. Not to rig it, necessarily, but to direct the outcome then let the game play out pending their dismal officiating. I hate to say that, but it's hard to argue after all that we've seen this year and what's worse, they just keep doing it week after week after week with no apparent recourse like we've been talking about!

    numbers 20 and 19. Bears Browns, Browns favored by 2.5, final score Browns 20, Bears 17, failed to cover, Browns won against the spread. (and that was a pass, on the other angle, at 4:14, you can clearly see his knee doesn't touch until his hand was open) Calls had no impact on outcome Number 18, Bucs vs Jags. Spread, bucs by 2.5, final score Bucs 30 Jags 12 Bucs won against the spread, Calls had no impact on outcome number 17 Falcons Saints, Falcons favored by 1.5 final score falcons 24 Saints 15. This one COULD have impacted the final result, but with a 2 score difference it seems unlikely Number 16. Commanders Giants. spread commanders favored by 9, final score giants 31 commanders 19. Not only are you misrepresenting the situation . the score was 24-12 when that happened, the game wasn't on the line, but the commanders lost that game by 3 touchdowns, vs the spread. Calls had no impact on outcome Number 15. The jags lost this game by 31 points straight up. I'm not even going to comment on the 'is it rigged?' question re:this game. Number 14 Chiefs Broncos. Chiefs favored by 7, Final score Broncos 24 Chiefs 9. Chiefs lost this game by more than 3 TDs vs the spread, call had no impact on outcome. Number 13 yes, blatant PI. and it could have impacted the game. However, you can't say you're citing evidence the game could be rigged and then flip flop on who the game is being rigged for in the same game. Frankly this process is getting tedious, yes he's a terrible official, but so far the evidence that there's corruption, rigging, going on for gambling purposes is pretty slim. I'll at least continue to the Lions game. (I assume it's in here, I'm doing this as I watch the video) Number 12, Bert Emmanuel rule. this is an ok call. The bonus play is also ok, that was not a catch, on the reverse angle it looks like he really never had it As he's putting the second foot down, the ball is bouncing off his thigh pad, before contact Number 11. It's not at all uncommon for the initial personal foul to be missed, and refs throw a flag on the retaliation. this retaliation was pretty weak, but I'm not gonna find fault with this crew when that situation happens dozens of times in a season. Number 10. Again, you can't claim the game is being rigged one way (number 15) and then come back with a bad call the other way and claim it's rigged. Number 9. Bad call, same game as number 16. This call didn't help the commanders win either. Number 8, Bad call, same game as number 17. This call didn't help the saints win either. Number 7, DOlphins Eagles week 7. Eagles favored by 2.5 Final score Eagles 31 Dolphins 17. Bad call, and this drive did result in an eagles touchdown. However it was only a 1 score game after that, and the Eagles won by 3 scores. But let's play devils advocate and admit this one might show evidence of a rigged game. Number 6 Bears Vikings. Vikings by 3. Final score, Vikings 19, Bears 13. Bad call, but didn't help the Bears cover Number 5 Rams 49ers week 2. Spread was 49ers by 7.5 Final score 49ers 30 Rams 23. Rams covered the spread, this drive also ended in a Rams TD Bad call, but had no effect on the game outcome Number 4 Bears Vikings week 6, Bad call, but again, you're claiming it's rigged for one team in an earlier point (number 6) and then claiming it's rigged for the other team in this one. Calling this one correctly would have helped the Bears cover though. Maybe even win outright Number 3 Blatant facemask, but the guy's body was shielding what happened from that ref's view and the receiver's head barely turned. Again, you're citing evidence of rigging in favor of 1 team (number 7) and now claiming it for the other. that's 4 times so far, 8 points out of 18, you're trying to have your cake and eat it too. Let's see what your top 2 are. Number 2. Disclosure, Lions fan here. Bias acknowledged. But again, you're playing both sides of the fence, As for the tripping call, you're as wrong as the official. Tripping requires there to be, you know, a trip, and Hutchinson misses The leg comes out after the running back is past him. Attempted Tripping isn't a penalty (as an aside, seriously dude, why am I getting ads on every stupid point?) Illegal touching. As much as it pains me to say, this call had no effect on the game vs the spread. The Cowboys were favored by 5.5 so the Lions covered regardless of the outcome of the play. If you want to make the claim that the league rigged the game against the Lions, I'd be on board, no team has been more fucked over by the refs than the Lions in the last 25 years. This isn't even the worst call to go against them. (kzread.info/dash/bejne/not5u8lxYrbTaJM.html) However, as far as corruption for gambling, no, that isn't in play here. As for the illegal formation question, the refs called 70 as eligible, so yes, with that call, 68 being on the end of the line would be an illegal formation. but if the correct lineman was announced, it wouldn't have been. (and no, the receiver beside decker is a yard back of the line, not on it.) Number 1. Bias acknowledged, as a Lions fan I'd root for Satan's team vs the Packers. yes there were numerous bad calls, Overall, you make an excellent case for Brad Allen being a terrible official as are the rest of his crew. Your evidence for shady dealings is very weak as the majority of the time you're not showing a bias towards one team but bad calls against both teams, and the times you focus on 1 team the call didn't change the outcome of the game vs the spread.

  • @maxoptimized

    Haha I knew someone would comment this. Thank for the feedback, but you making a huge assumption here when you say hes just a bad ref and cant be rigged because he makes bad calls against both teams. I was going to address this but forgot to add it in. This is 2024. You have many more betting options than betting on one team vs the other. How do you know when he called bad calls on both teams, that he wasnt betting the point total and trying to prevent both offenses from scoring ultimately declaring whose ahead at that point the winner before the game has ended? How do you know they arnt betting certain player props or team props like number of field goals or passing yards? How do you know they arnt betting a certain spread in the 2nd half or certain quarter? How do you know they arnt betting a mix of all 3 or a specific parley? How do you know they dont have a friend betting for them in real time for like +5000 odds in the 4th quarter and completely start rigging it the other way? Also you mention spreads in certain games, every sportsbook can have a different spread. So what spread you found, may not be the spread they got especially if they bet earlier in the week as spreads are subject to change overtime. Also you can buy or sell points on spreads, so how do you know they didnt do that? They are not going to make cheating so black and white, you can get very creative with bets now a days. Just because a refs call didnt effect the outcome of who won, doesnt mean it didnt prevent an extra field goal or touchdown for someone out there who bet on total touchdowns or field goals or total points. That person may say its rigged if they didnt get the play they deserved dispute the final outcome of which team won or lost. The game can ABSOLUTELY be rigged just because there are bad calls against both teams. And also this is the top 20 worst calls. There were many more bad calls in each of these games that I didnt include.

That post was already long enough, I was going to do over/under comparisons but it would have made it into a wall of text no one would have read.,There are also prop bets that could be rigged for too. It's just a huge leap to go from "terrible ref' to 'the game is rigged' on the evidence Especially when the league is full of terrible refs, Just like The Well-Ordering Principle states there is a least integer, there has to be a 'worst ref in the league'. It used to be Mike Carey. Now it's Brad Allen.

    Gonna make a hot take here, but the call in #20 is the correct call. All the contact happened within 5 yards of the Line of Scrimmage (thus not illegal contact) while the QB is in the pocket and it looked like by the time the ball was thrown (thus not Pass Interference), the contact had stopped. This play was just the receiver getting absolutely outplayed and manhandled legally. I'm not saying the other calls in this aren't bad calls, but this one is actually by the book the correct call.

    Yes the NFL is so "rigged" that Dallas needed to lose to Cardinals in Week 3. To make sure this would happen the NFL even made sure T. Diggs would tear his ACL in PRACTICE and miss all be the first two games. Then they had to make sure the Eagles would also bet beat by the same Cardinals in game 16 and then get killed by the Giants in last game. And they had to make sure the Dolphins lost their last game. We could go on and on but what's the point.

    @@samharris7601 I didn't see that part in the film I watched. I didn't even see him look over to the ref for any type of confirmation. The rule is there to make sure that the player must clearly be behind the neutral zone by at least 1 yard and behind the eligible receivers hip, so as not to confuse the defense regarding eligibility. In what I saw, he wasn't back far enough to officially uncover #68 on thay play. But like others have said, if the tripping penalty wasn't so screwed up then Dallas would have simply ran out the clock and game over. This crew is toxic.

    You are suggesting the NFL is rigged because one ref happened to blow a call against Detroit? That explains why the NFL always has the Cowboys, Packers, 49ers and Steelers, and Vikings in its Super Bowls in the last 30 years, right? Those blue chip franchises have just been rolling in Lombardi appearances, recently. And it makes perfect sense. They would definitely never allow the Bengals and the Rams to play in a Super Bowl or something like that. Nice guys like Peyton Manning must just be loaded with Lombardi rings, right? They wouldn't let him get blasted 41-8 to a small market team like Seattle.

You know it was a bad call when the Philly crowd didn't even react to the call and it was in the Eagles favor. These refs are ruining the game of football man, i miss the good old days back in the 80s and 90s football when the players could play smash mouth football, these days they might as well do away with helmets and pad and break out the flag belts.

    You lost me with your first one "Clear pass interference" ... no, it really is not. The defender very aggressively gets two "pushes" on the receiver within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage which causes him to run out of bounds, which is 100% allowed, and all of that occurred before Flacco threw the ball. So there was literally no penalty there, much less one for pass interference. Just because the receiver is throwing his hands up wanting a call (as it's happening) doesn't mean it's a penalty.

Second clip, his arm was in motion prior to his knee hitting the ground which is why it was not over turned. Outside of that, I believe you are spot on.

    Its not just Brad Allen, Brad Allen he's just got caught more. Its about momentum, if you can make a call or ignore a penalty you can affect the momentum of game. Look how often flags get thrown on 3 rd down. I lost a lot of confidence in the integrity of the game after the Dallas-lioms game, not that this is something new but it wast just the bad calls but how the NFL shielded Allen and basicly blamed it all on the lions and dven justified it by pointing out a legitimate bad call against the cowboys when there were so many other bad calls or no calls that helped Dallas in that game but dont think just because Allen is not refing in the playoffs that the other refs aren't probably just as bad but they are better at not looking so obvious as Allen. What makes it worse that Allen not only missed the meeting but Cambell caught up with him before the game and went over the plays with him. You can hear Cambell saying repeatedly, but i told you, i told you Brad when pleading his case on the field after the bad call. I dont think nfl is WWE but the refs do purposely swing momentum in games and while the Lions did get two more shots, it killed their monentum and i bet if they had made it, there would have been some other vauque call to kill the 2 point conversion.
