The issue with this claim is that a team is quite capable of beating the other team as the refs. For example how the hell would you be able to rig that Super Bowl for the broncos to beat the Seahawks? You would have to throw a flag on every down

NO commissioner is in charge, remember how they get to be commissioner ? The OWNERS put him there, and the tail doesn't wag the dog. Super Bowl 3 (Colts-Jets) was definitely a FIX, Colts 17 point favorites, led by MVP Earl Morrall, who threw 3 interceptions in the 2nd quarter, 2 in the red zone; and on a play designed to get Jimmy Orr wide open, which he was, Morrall doesn't even look his way since it was time for him to throw his 3rd interception in the quarter. Colts owner Rosenbloom was a notorious gambler, he even had the Colts go for a td in the 1958 Championship even though in sudden death they had a chip shot field goal....why ? since the spread was 4 points and a fg winning the title would have meant the bum lost his bet. NFL title in 1958 and SB 3, Rosenbloom had big bets and manipulated his team so he made the big $$$ ...later on this wonderful sportsman who was an expert swimmer drowns, and many say he messed with the wrong people with his bets and they took the bum out.

It is gone on for decades in all sports with the WWE. When ya hear storyline for a player, ya know it is likely what it is. And many are blind fearing the truth with Vince (WWE) and Roger (NFL) as butt buddies. Merge both for WWNFLE and the rest of sports. Remember mid late 90's WCW having sports players come on Nitro and or Thunder? Karl Malone, Dennis Rodman, Bill Goldberg, Reggie White, Kevin Greene, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme, Twins player, Vikings player, Steelers player Nascar for the NWO, NHL hockey player and more. No mention of SB LVI, when with less than two minutes left in regulation a flag was thrown for a Rams violation near the goal line, and the official who had waited in the end zone until it was realized that the ball would have been moved back at least 5 yards, which would have made it harder for the Rams to score the touchdown needed to take the lead at that late time in the game, to run out of the end zone and convince the lead referee to call a nonexistent second foul against the Bengals in order to negate the actual penalty that had been called and giving the Rams another chance to score that touchdown from the shorter distance.

I think a good topic would be the big NFL games that appear to be rigged where the team that was supposed to lose won anyway. Like, one that comes to mind is when Payton Manning was at the height of his popularity. Troy Polamalu simply caught the ball for the INT. And, for no reason, the refs said it was not an INT and gave the ball back to the Colts at a key point on the field at a key time in the game. The Steelers won anyway.

@@gbrow1604 this times 1000. People say Kyle blew it 9ers blew it blah blah they didn't execute like they should have late but if the refs didn't butcher the game in the cheifs favor they would have never needed to do anything late to start with. They was up 10 with 7 something left when that play happened on 3rd and 15 it was a 44 yard gain that sparked the comeback. Without that it's very unlikely the 49ers don't win. At the end of the ravens game they got screwed too. I don't understand everyone whining about the lights like the lights going off and getting 30 min break only benefitted the 49ers and not the ravens or something. They took the 2nd half kickoff back to make it 28-6 then the lights went off soon after. Maybe the 49ers simply made halftime adjustments we see it all the time where a game is a tale of two halves I don't understand how people think turning the lights off somehow swung the momentum when it happened right after halftime anyways. It was like an even longer half than normal. To me I think the 9ers just made halftime adjustments and came back and it had little if anything to do with the power outage. Now the play at the end on 4th and 5 was blatant as hell and they held the flag essentially stripping the 49ers of another Lombardi that is 2 in the last 10 years. 9ers haven't faired well in Goodells tenure.

yeah, the holding everyone and taking a safety to run out the clock, is not the refs being biased and not calling a penalty. That's just a loophole in the rules. Rules say if there is a penalty then there is still another play even if the clock ran out, but not unless the penalty is on a scoring play. SO by holding and taking a safety, the holding team gives the other team 2 points and even thou the clock ran out on a penalty, it was a scoring play so the penalty doesn't matter and game over.

Also I remember as a kid hearing about a Baltimore player being happy as Hell after Superbowl 3 saying he just made Three Million dollars! Remember this is before the NFL paid well. Most players needed off season jobs unless you were a top star. Plus gambling was far more prevalent in the 60's with the mob running Las Vagas and Atlantic City. Super Bowl 58: Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift was a huge boost to NFL ratings, so, maybe the league pulled some strings to keep swifties watching football. Don’t be surprised if the Chiefs become the first team to win 3 Super Bowls in a row.

It's quite possible that the rigging was in for the Falcons to win that Superbowl. However, the NFL script writers ended up being woken up in the wee hours of the morning after Eugene Robinson was arrested that night for solicitation while his wife and kids were in the hotel room. They paid Robinson off to make sure he'd give up big plays and he sure did.

Oh, I don’t think it’s just the Super Bowl that is rigged iamb in the minority of people who think the entire NFL seasons are completely rigged except for injuries because season-ending injuries I don’t think you can rig that to happen. I have noticed a lot whether it be in the NFL or college football players that have been a penalty cold when they shouldn’t be including a referee even said in the most recent AFC championship game between the Cincinnati Bengals over the Kansas City Chiefs on that play where it gave Kansas City to 15 yard penalty to give them the easier field goal to win. I think the NFL is just making Patrick Mahomes the new Tom Brady. I’m gonna make him go to the Super Bowl every couple years because he’s their new poster boy.

@@nickriggio8807 Brian Tuohy is a leading "fix is in" advocate and author. His manta is, "Would you leave a billion dollar business to chance?" That's a good question, but the general feeling is, games may not be exactly fixed, but the pro leagues do what they can to make certain story lines prevail. That's the general feeling among those who believe it is possible the results are steered if not outright fixed. Red Auerbach in his memoirs said the NBA referees were instructed to favor the Celtics during the 1960s, and did. The Celtics of that era won many of their games from the line, not from the floor. I used to look at the box scores. For another thing, consider how much the players get paid. When you are being paid millions per year, maybe you have to do something in return for all that money every now and then other than just play the game to the best of your ability. One of my revelations is that it might be the top players rather than the marginal players who are in on the fixes. The top players are company men who aspire to being involved with corporate interests after their playing days and expect to swinging with the American elite. Tuohy himself considered this idea a revelation when I ran it by him (via email). Some authors and influencers will communicate with the public and their readers and followers. Tuohy is pretty good with this, if you have something to say.
