The movie is even more effective if you move your left leg back and wide allowing you to to spin faster whilst blocking off a tackle

"I blocked with with my back so she cannot get to the ball this side or this side". Fine if the move is being done out of the playing reach of the player being blocked, but otherwise this action may be a straightforward Obstruction Offence which should present the opponent with the award of a Free Ball. So 'the swivel' may be just a different name for an old offence. The coach mentions planting the foot and protecting the ball from the opponent, but does not even mention the possibility of an obstruction offence or how to avoid giving obstruction i.e the use of distance and good timing. But early days with a new skill for these youngsters, perhaps the coach will mention these things in the next session? How much easier it would be to develop stick handling so that players were adept at moving from left to right with the ball without having to make a turn with the body.
