I dont know why i am sharing this but my girlfriend and i separated 2 years ago when she moved 200 miles away. Which is not that far. Just far enough to keep distance between us. We still talk almost everyday and i go see her whenever i can but its not always the best time. Always just barely missing each other. Lots of phone tag and 30 second conversations. Of course things have happened while we have been apart that have driven us further apart emotionally as well. We are trying to make it work but in the back of my head i am realizing more and more that shes never moving back. I am working toward moving close to her but its going to take time and its going to be a lot of work. Im more than willing to do what it takes. I just hope by that in the meantime we dont grow further and further apart. We have been together for 5 years now. These two without her with me everyday have been hard and everyday now gets harder and harder because i see her becoming more and more independent and growing up to be this woman who i have to get to know and love from a distance. Im proud of her and i want nothing but the best for her. I want her to be happy. Im realizing more and more that i love her so much and i want her to be happy so much that i dont mind if shes happy without me. Im taking it day by day. Every time we talk is another moment i can hold onto until the next one. I hopeful for the future tho and i started to pray to god that finds her happiness and recieves her blessings in life. And who knows maybe she does have a special place in her heart for me and maybe she is just as hopeful we can make it work and find our way back to each other when its the right time. I know there is no chance she sees this but just in case she does, Kalaa, i love you so fckn much. Thank you for being patient and always managing to make time for me everyday. Even if its for a few minutes. And even if its just a phone call or facetime. Thank you. I love you and keep workin toward whatever it is in life you want. You deserve it.
