I never end up finishing these videos, because I end up looking up one of the records and get sucked into digging online then end up making a beat.

In high school this guy was just as popular and talented as Dre , timberland and Neptunes. Still one of my favorite producers to this day. LEGEND

If just would have beat Swizz beatz in the first verses he would have been so much richer from the endorsements from the versus now look at that battle

@@dreday3987 swiss beats did a verses against Blaze ???????????????????? Swiss ain't even in his league. Anybody who knows about production knows this man is a professor at Harvard & swiss beats is a preschool student on the short bus lol
Probably the best episode of Crate Diggers I have seen so far. Wow! Just Blaze gives up a lot of info. Thanks, Just!!!
Thankyou for this interview. I love Just Blaze's material.
Daaaaaamn ! That studio is isolated like a tank ! I could actually HEAR the SILENCE !!!
Records take up a lot of space my pops got a pretty nice record collection. I gotta go thru them and get some dope samples. This video is very aspiring for a producer
Lots of gems in this shit.
I love the statement of Just being the best producer of all time in a certain frame of time :)
my fav music producer
That Pookah record at 2:25. J.Dilla sampled that. Turned it Madlib - Take it back.
its called digging for a reason, once you get into it, its hard to get out.
Nice interview one of my favorite poducers
Wow he remembered as far back when he was two!
Can't front on that Yamashita Tatsuro! So dope.
Great as always!!
True vinyl heads are never out. . . . .once " WE'VE " been bit . . . . that's it.
his studio is AMAZING
Records lol. I was around the 7000 mark too back in the 90s I sold 99.4% about 14 yrs ago & I cried now I don't even miss em.
Just is so dope. He says "Rare" more times than a Lil' B youtube description in this video hahaha
he pulled out a Can album. siiiiickk. that one has dizzy dizzy on it
Truly Amazing
Very dope!!! Thanks Fuse!
One love and massive respect
just blaze and the blazettes!!!
I haven't even started watching this vid yet, but I know it's going to be awesome. I know it is.
I find it funny how @ 2:26, he says "there's something really fresh on this one" but the album cover would suggest otherwise lolol
my dude. I think any successful person would tell you to never give up. i don't know how old you are or your situation, but fruition only comes from never giving up. it's never too late. just go do it and work your ass off.
just blaze is going to be in the next episode of hoarders.
LOL ... "As soon as you think your out they pull you back in" (Vinyl) Great!!!
when he jams the records back onto the shelves the plastic sleeves sticking out gives me anxiety haha

Will tell next !!!
i dig all the time man
Right here, from Texas. Ain't too many diggers out here though outside of myself but there's a few
@merocket I can't say this for every hip hop producer, but for the most part they are actually fans of the music. Me personally... I own records that are just dope and more than likely won't get used for any kind of beat. My motto is "dig for good music and the beats will come".
How about inserting the sample into the video when the DJ talks about it? Constructive criticism.
started crate digging when you was 2 ? #butthataintnoneofmybusiness
Really Good.
That Aaliyah story is heartbreaking. That would have been an amazing remix.
i want to say i liked this interview...
DOPE.
yes he does
13:44 IT BE CALLIN ME MAAAAAAN ! lol I know the feeling.
Just Blaze brought me here.
dope video
Oh Boy is one for all-time
7:41 he has a bunch of Library albums
Great memories of the early years from DJ Rocky Atlanta Music DJ and EllaEventsAtlanta
I think Crate Diggers should do a "Making Of LP Episode". For example, for Jay-Z "Reasonable Doubt". Interview each producer and have them speak in detail about how they met Jay-Z, the process behind finding the sample, producing the beat and recording the song and how they felt once it made the final track listing. This would also be cool for "READY TO DIE" and "ILLMATIC".
04:00 I copped that J Geils Band record for a buck. #DollarBinVet
Massachusetts, the scene is pretty dead here too. Some nice hidden stores though
Big Jack!!!!!
I haven't seen any comments on it but that tatsuro yamashita spacy album is very smooth album recommend to listen
jus is the man
You should do Kanye west crate diggers
do People Under The Stairs next
Anybody else think Cuba Gooding Jr. would play him in a biopic?

Cuba old as shit
Madlib and Dj shadow next
Ofcourse there are man, the diggin culture will never end aslong as there as music shops out there, hip hop music is founded around the idea of samples and putting old music back to life. Keep it trueschool ;) // Sweden
I like just blaze he's the coolest producer in hip hop period
Yea def
I watched the first half, was typing up a comment about how he didn't come off like a true "digger"; more like a dude that had a bunch of records, and then I watched the second half. Spoke too soon. Comment recanted lol
ALCHEMIST!!!!!
Please do either 9th, Shadow, Alchemist, Madlib or Scratch...
epic
The Little Boy Blues - Seed of love
Glad they got Just Blaze, Good episode, next should be Alchemist.
I've wondered the same thing. I would hope they listen as fans first. It definitely takes away from the music if they're just skipping through records looking for samples and not actually appreciating the original music, but I'm guessing countless producers out there do that, hopefully Just Blaze isn't one of them.
RJD2 needs a Vinyl collection episode too
RZA!
reporting in
Easy Mo Bee, Biz Markie, Preemo or Erick Sermon pls!
Blaze says he didn't 'steal'; On the contrary, he "procured". Get it right.
Large pro needs a Vinyl Collection
Alchemist next!!!
gotta do marshall jefferson next!!!
could spend a whole day digging in crates
I have that record of main source, looking @ the front door, don't believe me i will email the cover & vinyl. D.J. Teereal!
what state u in?
When he said 4000, i thought to myself, i'm getting off early from work and about to sale my 45 of it. LOL LOL I wish it could get 4000 for mine. WHEW!!! He almost got me fired this mornning. Side note* 600 is still pretty good money for a small break and a few vocals.
Flying Lotus Next
Paterson all day. 24th and 10th ave
Thats a John Idem 5 sticker in that The Call record. Haha
surprised there hasn't been an alchemist one
I wonder how many times he said "dope"
