Eclipse has made a contribution to hip-hop that is colossal.
Crate Diggers needs to be a full length show on tv like 30-60 mins cuz some of these collections are so big and so dope that 13 mins isn't enough

I casted this to my TV and it really did feel like a show you would find on regular cable. Great quality has the logo in the corner and everything.
Eclipse studio set up: 2 turntables, a mixer, and an SP-1200, the real deal!
Eclipse is one of the hardest working people in Hip Hop. His work in music and at Fat Beats NYC is a testament to that.
The intro is priceless. Eclipse's child will grow up with the best music collection ever, on vinyl.
Still got his AV8 records. Used to play them at gigs decades ago. The world is so different now. Not sure its better.
My favorite hiphop dj still doin it the way shit needs to be done props Eclipse

Eclipse Jr was playing with Stezo - To The Max...classic Hip Hop. I respect Dj Eclipse by that inro alone.
He's integrated is collection very nicely into his home! Big up!

That was a really great episode. Keep up the damn good work.
Respect Brother and this huge Record Collection is more possible, ones you own your own record shop plus a Lable....I am so glad, that I stept into Fat Beat Records in 1997...it was Dreamland

Surprised he didn't say anything about Non-Phixion
I agree about how he says that back in the days if your crew went and put a vinyl out that meat you were down for your crown..In my area, thats how I battled.I would take my crews shit and put it out. While suckers were just only hittin up bus stops with their crew initials.
AWESOME EPISODE !! THNX FUSE :)
11:55 on, truth 100% wit ya Eclipse, mad respect
WOW what an amazing record collection!
Respect to you for knowing classic hiphop too
Much respect to Eclipse ! and the Lord Shafiyq joint is absolutely a gem !

in the spirit of that one episode of Cribs, they should do Redman and Redman only has one crate with like 6 records
His remix of Nas One Love with the Stevie sample.

Do one on DJ 3rd Rail from Chicago WNUR
oh lord, that made me laugh so hard... thanks for that image.
Don't know this dude, but he seems like a super cool dude, good upload.
Real dope.
he was showing some one off promo's and records where he was the "first" to play on the radio in NY, i thought it was pretty cool.. the jungle brothers Jimbrowski record was along those lines but he was just commenting on what it was like back in the day to hear a track and search it out in the record store for your collection. BUT some other stuff besides hip hop in his collection wouldve been sick to check out
Roc Raida FOREVER T-shirt! ;) R.I.P. my Hero!
Little Max Will be a Musical Genius with all that music literally around him... Mr Thing said same thing that growing up him mom was always playing soul records through out the house... common thread here...
Nice Bro . . . Well spoken.
I remember when I used to see Eclipse at Fat Beats.
Hi! Somebody's knows wich lens was use to make this video? Cannon maybe? __ mm?

OMG !! i want a copy of the Natural Elements 12" ..it has another b-side !! asweome !!
Eclipse hit me off every time I went to the store and made me spend my vacation money. I have some classic stuff from fat beats. The experience of going there was magical in NY or L.A

Damn I always wondered how much vinyl Eclipse had. I topped out at 10,000 until I had to move.
Hah, I did the Columbia House thing too when I was 16. I ordered a Whodini LP and they sent me Tina Turner instead. I was hella pissed and refused to pay. They sent me a letter threatening to sue me. I sent them a note back, saying good luck suing a minor.
Qaddafi El-hadi(sound cloud)!!
Still waiting for that Questlove
I think this guy likes records.

Did he produce for Non Phixion or was it Necro?

Honestly I don't know! Felt like Bill did a lot of it but that's just a feel.
@rollforever_85

There were a bunch of different producers involved with non phixion. Necro did a lot of tracks on the future is now, but over half that album was produced by other people: large professor, premiere, pete rock, juju, etc. Eclipse was their DJ.
Providence Rhode Island 401!!!!
Not very confusing. We love hip hop, but there are other people with great vinyl collections whose stories we like to profile too. Sorry you don't like the "How it all started" question. It's always in the same spot, so feel free to skip over that part when it pops up. Thanks for watching.
The Realness...
ALCHEMIST & MADLIB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow
I completely agree with what he was saying @ the end of the episode and have been saying that for years. This digital age has saturated music and has watered down the quality of what's being put out and the DJs playing it. It's too easy to make music/DJ nowadays and the QUALITY is going away..
cool guy
Tweet at him and let him know!
the records are the walls.
Whats that funk bomb at 0:33?
Randomly pull out My Mic Is On Fire sealed copy WHAAAT?!!
people keep asking fuse to do madlib but they dont because he just leaves his records on the floor stacked against walls he has too many records to be organised and shit
rip beat streets and fat beats nyc and atl
Why u no do Madlib?
thats alot of records
Where's the new episode?
Mini Eclipse was trying to chop up samples
lmfao, this is ridiculous, this guy should go into guinness world records for having a house full of records.

I have a collection similar too,and you have to have a house to keep it in...apartments wont work.
Why didn't he say hes from Non-Phixion as well?
found that in a charity shop for 50p the other day.
