Just got into drones with this. After a few days my initial impression is that it's difficult to imagine a better first drone and intro to the hobby than this model.

Imho, best starter drone out there.
I've had my drone for a week and love it but will say that when the snake oil salesmen at DJI claim to have a battery life of 31 minutes that's complete BS. That's strictly for hovering. When doing actual flying the time is 15 - 20 minutes. So be forewarned.

i think they want to take off mini 2 from market... because it's the top competitor of mini 3... for general use mini 2 it's great. i don't think that mini 3 worth the spend in front of mini 2 for most of people... really.. I have the mini 2 and mini 3 pro.. but i am a photographer... so I really use pro features. Just to shoot your trips and stuff, really, mini 2 is outstanding and cheap.

@Umutt3 I thought about that but I figured if I can fly without sensors with the 2 se , I'll be good to go when I upgrade. I only paid 250 for the se , so it's better to destroy that instead of the 3 pro.

I’m getting mine will arrive this Saturday from bestbuy I can’t wait. I wanted the mini2 but they don’t have it it’s ok.. I have mini1 the problem is gimbal stuck don’t know how to fix it it has sand but the drone working fine

I'm buying one as my first "real" drone, only used cheap wifi drones. I was going to start with the mini 3 but i'm only interested in flying around for fun and looking through the FPV screen so the 4k camera isn't needed when they all have the same 720/30fps transmission with the same speed and wind resistance. 😄 Greetings from Denmark.

Great question! At the moment the DJI Mini 2 SE is only compatible with the DJI RC-N1 controller, but never say never!

Yes, it is compatible with both the RC and RC Pro controllers as of the DJI Fly 1.9.4 update.

I live in Calgary and just bought one a couple of days ago at Best Buy. But your post is 8 months old so that's probably why you couldn't locate one.
They should of at least added the follow me mode

I live in Norway, they have prices the Mini 2 SE same price as the Mini 2..... they are both for 600$ flymore combo... Dont know who would buy the SE 2 over a Mini 2.... no 4k vs 4k video...
It's just the mini se it's just upgrade the remote and from wifi to occusync connection

Mini 2 = Better photos, videos, smart features etc. Same body design & transmission system. This is a fair bit cheaper though.

Good enough for everything. These days people warch everything on theire phones so 4k is a waste of time.
I just bought DJI mini 2 SE but unfortunately dji fly app is not compatible to most android phones such a waste of money!

Mini 2 SE is literally identical to Mini SE. they just slapped a 2 on it.
31 min fly time and 10 min to back so you have just 20 min fly time also the camera is not clear bad videos and photos too

This is just nonsense, the price range is close to the new mini 3, so why the he'll would a person go backwards ,and loose feaures.. Explain to me the logic, because I'm not getting it at,all. Now if this drone was 279, I could see maybe someone new buying this lol.

The original mini had 2.7K video. The original Mini SE had 2.7K video. Fair enough, and reasonable. The Mini 2 has 4K. The Mini 2 SE has 2.7K. Sorry, but it doesn't deserve the 2 in its name. Video quality is one of the key differences between the Mini and the Mini 2.
