Great video. There is also how the 2 outside midfielders tuck in to cover the full back positions or Fabinho drops so that the centre backs can stretch out to cover the full back areas. Mainly the outside midfielders though and it depends on the opposition.

Because the Liverpool players are super fit. It took them the first 2 years or so of Klopp's almost four years with Liverpool for them to become so. They used to cramp up, injure themselves, and tire out a lot at first. Klopp was actually critized by pundits and such for it. But of course, now they can execute Klopp's very tiring style of play almost perfectly without tiring out. They've worked incredibly hard. Honestly, I pity Liverpool's opponets because very few of them can keep up with the physical demand of stopping our players.

Alison starts so many counters; reminds me of Mat Ryan at his best for Australia. But for me Bobby Firmino is the key; even when not at his best, he orchestrates the spaces with his intelligent movement. It's a pity that Salah and Mane don't make better use of what he creates. My fantasy (try not to laugh heheh) is Sturridge coming in more later in season and finishing what Firmino so often starts. We do lack finishing, yes Salah scores plenty but % not high.

Hi nouman, i wonder if you can elaborate Keita's role in the midfeild for liverpool? To me he looks slow and often breaks the tempo of attack. Even at times he is shy of passing the ball to Robertson who often gets a huge space at his left wing to run and curl the ball inside.

The ability to turn defense to offense very quickly is a weakness as well as a strength. Quick offense means chance to score but often means turning over possession. In games against top opposition they can hold the ball for long periods (Man City). Even when Liverpool are winning they never look comfortable because the setup is not about possession football, it's about exploiting space. The midfield is very limited in creativity, just look at goals and assists for the last season.

Fredy Sagala marking Hazard and jorginhno doesn't necessarily stop the team. Sarri complains alot about how our team stops playing Sarriball. Napoli used play in more defensive teams than we have faced and none of them were able to stop Sarri's system.
