Barbara, how awkward when a prop you were counting on falls apart. I think I know an easy way to prevent that-just place your collected leaves between the pages of a substantial-weight book. I picked out a book to read from a shelf in our house and as I read found a leaf, then another, etc. they’re pretty strong and the stems don’t threaten to loosen away from the leaf. - I liked seeing your page come together, beautiful and fun.

The tags are beautiful! Those papers are absolutely stunning & I love the effects you got with the texture paste & the colours over the top - definitely an unexpected version of brushed corduroy (I think Luise snuck some Forest Moss in that bottle!). Must admit I would have rubbed some gold or copper wax over the texture paste edges - I guess that’s my version of gold splatters lol. Love the whole page. Beautifully nature-inspired

I found this prompt to be difficult. I wanted to try something that I don’t normally do, and I did do the project, but it’s not my favorite prompt so far. I really enjoyed relaxing and watching you create today. You are inspiring me to get out some twine and have some fun!

You have outdone yourself on this one, Barbara. The colors you chose were perfect. Also, there was just enough gloss on the leaves and shine from the mica spray. It’s fascinating to watch your work evolve over time. The spreads you do are varied for sure but they also have a cohesiveness. Just so you know you are a great inspiration to me.

Beautifully done. These are super great pages and tags. Your pretty tin full of dried leaves is impressive! I wonder if regular embossing powder would have shown the color better. Either way, they are great. Thanks for sharing.

I’m loving Junk Journal January. Your journal is amazing, and I love the denim cover. The Distress Stain daubers were discontinued for the very reason you displayed. The colors turn after a time. I had a few browns that also turned green and slimy.

My “brushed corduroy” dabber has turned completely green…. I asked in the shop where I bought it and they said that Ranger had had some pigment issues with some of the old browns in the distress dabbers. The new pigments used in the distress stain spray bottles should be more stable. I love the spread you did, very beautiful! 🍂💛

I love your fabric covers. I’m still working on my first ever journal - hope to have finished it by 2025 🤦‍♀️ or maybe 6? 🤷‍♀️ I enjoy making collage papers & ephemera more than putting it all together. I love the Tim Holtz & Seth Apter fabrics you use but they’re too expensive here in Aus, so I bought some plain fabrics to Gelli print my own designs, so hopefully will create my first fabric cover sometime soon (ish) 😁 Hey, you can’t rush these things. Thank you for the inspiration!
