the thing with Junji ito's work is that is doesn't give you a sense of fear or thing like that, it's more to the feeling of uneasy, uncomfortable.... like there's no danger, just that feeling like you need to protect yourself from something

For the Enigma of Amigara Fault I think the people going in are coming out as the monsters, thinking they’re so perfectly shaped to fit in the hole that they don’t even realized they’re being crushed, pulled, and shaped by the hole changing. Since they have the sensation to keep going, they don’t even think to go out. They will come out as these horrible, long lines of human flesh, bones, teeth, and organs, just to think they fit perfectly. Edit, 2 months: 1K!? omg thank you so much!
@yokovinn
Жыл бұрын
Yep, you’re right. The origin of the holes was that 1000s of years ago, an ancient civilization dug human holes as punishments for criminals. They were forced in, and they could not go out. The reason being, the holes were specifically designed so that with each movement, you only went forward. Anyways eventually, as you keep going forward and forward, the human like hole starts to disfigure into the weird shapes you saw. The people are in fact aware, and they can feel every single part of their body being stretched in inhumanly ways.

@@averagegummywormfan I don't really recommend watching tale foundry,I watched one of his videos and most of it was just some type of rolpleay story, instead of telling stories he's making his own and that bothers me a little

@@toiletjenny333 I saw that tale foundry video about this and it was good, tho. Their explanation put things in perspective as they saw it as an analogy of how people think they found the right path for them (in career or relationships) only to end up being stuck on that path and the incapability to turn back from those decisions. Something along those lines 💁♀️

The Enigma of Amigara Fault is one of the most traumatizing one-shot mangas ever. Imagine going to Amigara Fault just to discover that a hole that is shaped like your body was waiting for you, urging you to go in it. But once you get in, the hole suddenly starts distorting to the point where it makes your own body parts twist and turn with the direction of the hole. Then at the end of the hole, you are nothing but a distorted abomination.
Junji: looks like a kind soul who wouldn't think of anything scary His manga: literally my worst nightmare
The ending of "Enigma of Amigara Fault" actually got me, Humans slipping through holes made only for them and will not resist to go through to the end, only for that to mutilate them as the other side of the tunnel becomes more and more wicked but through the drive to go through the whole way they mutilate themselves.

I don't find his manga's scary at all. They are just fascinating to me. I saw a meme that perfectly sums up his artwork. "I came looking for copper....but what the fuck is this!"😂😂

Learning how messed up the stories that Junji Ito made just make me wondering is he a genius or a menace to society🥲but still he's the idol of horror/disturbing comic author
@0:50 thank you for the trypophobia warning. Immediately pressed pause. Although it could’ve come a little earlier when he was squeezing his oil clustered face 😅

Where can I read it?
Now, you've convinced me to look for Junji Ito's work
Junji ito's stories are always like the more horrifying versions of "but wait....it gets worse"
I've seen enough "transformation" and "mind break" genre of umm.. "you-know-it" to see that Slug Girl as an interesting story more than it is disturbing. But yeah that would be disturbing if I imagine it happened in real life though, it's a good thing that it's manga-styled and beside of her tongue turns into a slug, nothing really disturbing was drawn on Yuko. Maybe I should try to look more on Junji Ito's works..
LMAO THIS I HILARIOUS I LOVE JUNJI ITO AND I CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS
Junji Ito's stories are literally so different why can't movies have stories like this😂
i love reading a lot, the novels were great but when I stumbled upon Junjis manga I never looked back. its exactly what i had been missing. I love how out of this world they are, how absolutely bizarre and "what-the-hell-have-I-just-read" they are.
Asian horror mangas, especially Junji Ito mangas, teached me a lot about my drawings. Love his art♡
I love Junji Ito’s mangas! They never disappoint My favorites are Tomie and Glyceride
I don't find most of Junji Ito's work scary, more like disturbing. Except for the one with the woman in the window next door. That one was nightmare fuel for me

The woman next-door is my favorite. I have the book I love the ending.😂
Gurl ur so brave for making a short abt this cursed manga , more of these pls 🥺
i will never forget the day when i was just normally scrolling on yt shorts and came across the grease scene with no warning whatsoever. Plus, i have trypophobia. The vid legit had no TWs, and i didnt know junji ito, and without warning i had to go to the bathroom and almost threw up. Im fine with any other one of his stories, just not the pimple one. I got a little bit of a pimple phobia after that.
Finally after all this years I've found the Comic which I've read when i was young 🥳🥳
I absolutely love Junji Ito
Junji ito is like my fave manga artist/writer like omg i love his stories
"...So his father leaves the house. But as soon as he stepped outside, he saw something he could not believe. He saw 2 other girls who were also at the ice cream bus the day before, but now they're licking themselves." Tomoki's father seeing his house full of a strange, sticky liquid oozing from any spot: *I Sleep* Tomoki's father after seeing two lesbians chilling on the street: *Real Shit?* Ah, yes. Considering how people's reactions are right now, I ought to specify that this is, in fact, a joke.

I mean I've heard Japan can be quite homophobic, as they don't see homosexuality as something that conforms to society and in their eyes, everything is bad that doesn't conform. At least I heard that's how society is built over there
Thank you for this compilation! My favorite time of the day is when I watch your videos with a tea in bed
She needs to make more compilations of these!!!
Junji Ito is a absolute master creator of horror ❤❤❤
The Enigma of Amigara Fault is actually humans making the hole. Its not for those people who fits it perfectly, its for the humans who had done something bad or wrong many many manyyy years ago for punishment
Ooh I was just hoping she'd do another compilation
I just love how he creates such great comics
Whoa………… thank you for introducing me to this masterpiece… I have to purchase some of their artwork. It’s really creative and mesmerizing
Great spooky stories. Keep it up. 👏
I really enjoyed reading the Uzumaki one. It was great.
I usually get terrified of horror storys but I can't stop reading junji ito the style is just so good and the storys too
I love this and i have been obsessed with tomie~

i clicked out when she said i would be terrified of ice cream, like nah bro i’m good 💀💀
I'm thinking of creating content like this crazy soon, thanks for the motivation
I've seen all of his work and read it too. And all I can say is, I'm not surprised and scared just confused at times.
Artist of horror and phobia.
Good thing I didn’t see this at night 😰
Junji ito very underrated. Also, Junji ito can do the nae nae. Look it up.
Junji Ito will go down in history as a horror master.
Junji Ito's Cat Diary, his scariest piece of all
I am addicted to junji ito! My faves are The Enigma of [Whatever] Fault and Uzumaki!! I totally recommend them
I feel kinda proud that ive read all of these she mentioned.. Also i wish Silentl Hill PT would actually become a reality, since junji ito and Guillermo del Toro was associated with tht game, it could've been the scariest game everrrr made 😢
junji ito never fails to disgust and amaze us!
All these stories, yet the artists himself is one witty, outgoing fella. The opposite of Hayao Miyazaki.
Omg make this a series!!
Enigma of amigara was the coolest of this stories.
dang. i’ve only seen one of junji ito’s comics but they seem amazing. i might read more now
I was a little traumatized with Junji Ito's manga yet its addicting too. Lol i want more

It's Disgusting, Traumatizing, Confusing, Terrifying, and Fun to watch at the same time 🤧

I remember reading these mangas when I was 11 and they traumatised the living hell out of me
I really love these funny stories especially the ice cream one tbe kid made me laught so hard.
I have extreme trypophobia and the first one definitely deserved a warning because I'm acting up rn 😭
I love your videos they help me decide what to watch on NETFLIX 😂😂😂
Junji itos work both terrifies and amazes me

I loved junji Ito especially his animes
Junji ito is so creative
live laugh love Junji Ito, ive read so many of his scary mangas
After seeing "enigma of amigara fault" i don't think i'm ever gonna see hole the same again

Hey dear I am so great full to you. Because you introduced junji ito to me. Now I am a huge fan of me
I read these comics, and Uzumaki is my favourite
I must read more mangas by the sounds of this yes girl
The fact that nothing scares junji ito is incredible
The fact that I've finished all these stories both anime and manga
Every time I read a Junji Ito comic, I feel like I'm trapped in an Iron Maiden full of Giant centipedes. Amigara falls is the most terrifying story I've ever read. I read it like 7 to 10 years ago and I still remember it vividly.
please make more of these types of episodes loved it ❤️
I read junji itto as a child. Am I okay? 0_0
I once finished Uzumaki series and came down with fever afterwards. Junji Ito is not for the faint of heart of people with phobia 😶🌫️
You should also do the masterpiece of "tomie" by junji ito!! Please
Ice cream bus has been animated and is on Netflix it’s a very interesting watch for lovers of junji Ito. Every story connects its self I believe in Ice cream bus Tomokis father is watching a girl in th the same one that appears in the next episode hanging ballon
i've read so many these endings aren't even surprising anymore loll
maybe the enigma at amigara fault is an allegory about social relation like we want to be part of like community or people but end up awkward and cringe and found ourself become less true to ourself
please make more of these junji ito comic recaps
Part 2 pls! Im loving ur horror videos
the enigma sounds like a great story
