It's very interesting to hear how they don't like the most childish songs in a children's competition, sometimes I understand the negative of the nordic countries to participate in this contest when we see adults expect a mature entry in a child or teenager

Yeah I am of the same opinion. Actually I must say that I don't like Armenia because it is for me kind of disturbing to see little girls replicating most of the adult pop divas of nowadays

This is a competition, not a kindergarten, where every child sings a simple song!.. Here, more attention should be paid to vocal talent and creative musical innovation, and not to banal melodies that you have already heard. If the jury likes a song covered with simple music, this competition will lose its reputation, trust and quality!

@@albamarquezgarcia9367, I think Armenia's offer this year has everything except the song. We hear only techno music, the same simple notes and dance. The voices of the contestants are literally nowhere to be seen clearly, and the rap does not fit the theme of "Heroes".

What do you expect about JUNIOR Eurovision? It’s a Contest for children! And the song have to be child friendly not adults as Armenia or UK. Spain will do really well 🎉

Another strong edition of JESC! My top 6 are my favourite songs and that is: 1) North Macedonia 🇲🇰 2) Netherlands 🇳🇱 3) Georgia 🇬🇪 4) Germany 🇩🇪 5) Armenia 🇦🇲 6) France 🇫🇷 I would love for North Macedonia to win, if staged correctly I could really see Skopje 2024

Ireland has 2 national broadcasters by language. The Irish-language broadcaster does junior. The English-language broadcaster does adult. There literally is a different team, and adult Eurovision is badly mismanaged because of it. Georgia is 2 boys and a girl.

Portuguese song is both in english and portuguese, she s from USA (but she s portuguese) and sing about "a place i can call home / where i belong" because she suffered bullying at school and when she came to Lisbon to Thevoicekids (winning = go to junior eurovision) she realy loved Portugal. PS: they cant be more than 14yo

My favourites from the recap are Netherlands and North Macedonia. Haven't listened to any in full. In terms of Ireland, RTE plans their adult entry, while a different channel does their junior entry.

Yes to different broadcasters for junior eurovision and eurovision for Ireland so yes it doesn't make sense to me either but Jessica is amazing 👌 🇮🇪🍀💚

France is the Winner for me

Even though it's a children's contest, you're encouraged to have an opinion about the songs. If you don't like a song then say it. Don't bully them, obviously, but I don't agree with those who claim that constructive criticism is bad for children. They are supposed to learn and grow to be better at their skill. I'd rather say something that will improve their singing than say something fake and make them feel like they're the best because no one is the best singer. Adults and children both benefit from constructive criticism.

Why can’t several of these countries the UK included send songs like this to the adult contest XD being 9-14 years old and singing songs of this calibre??? I do think with the majority of ballads though that it’s out of the UK or Armenia but hey ho France won last year so could be anyones XD love your outright honesty guys xxxxx

As you found J'imagine unbearable and it won, I can see Spain or Ukraine winning this too. 🇳🇱 🇲🇰 🇫🇷 🇪🇸 🇦🇲 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 are the fandom favorites but everything is possible as we all know. However there are songs that build very nicely while some others are very repetitive and you can't see that in only the recap. This recap doesn't do justice to all these songs at all unfortunately.

Hey guys, thank you for covering JESC again 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Regarding Kazakhstan: Kazakhstan, just like Australia, is an associate member of the EBU, not yet a full member. So in order to participate in EBU events, they need and invitation by the EBU and the host broadcaster. Rumor has it that the french broadcaster, when they hosted in 2021, did not want to award such an invitation to the kazakh broadcaster, but the EBU intervened. However, at a later stage, their participation was in danger once again after failing to receive the papers necessary for visa applications from the french broadcaster "due to corona regulations". One of the two boys representing KZ in 2021 is a permanent resident of France, which in the end helped in their case. Based on these experiences with the french broadcaster I could imagine that this was the reason for Kazakhstan to withdraw from the event being held in France once again. Again, that's rumors I heard, nothing confirmed. 🤣

It doesn't make sense at all, these "rumors" are wrong.The broadcaster has nothing to do with that, it's an Ebu stuff, and only Ebu.

You really expect anything different of a children contest? What makes me feel weird is looking children acting like adults with adult and sexual songs

:-))) I'm sorry Armenia, but this year Armenia has the easiest song to perform, which is well packed with techno music and dance. In this song, the children's vocal data is not visible at all, and therefore it is difficult to evaluate them and only in the background of dance and music. Holland is not special either. In my opinion, Macedonia, Georgia, Malta, Poland and Ireland should have more chances. (Italy is also good vocally, but it is not something new to offer). I just like the idea and the message of Germany. The rest of the countries are more or less on the same level vocally or cheerfully, but with musically monotonous notes already heard in the past. In my opinion, this must be said...✌️

But only Georgia is different from everyone and everything, and that's why it is my favorite this year, their unearthly harmonious voices really take you to space, just like the theme "Heroes".

And about the vocals, do you already see all of them performing their songs live on stage with everything? No I think, so you can't already judge.
