JUNGLE POND! Homeowner STUNNED After Revealing This Pond Mulching!

This is a JUNGLE POND! We found a 3 foot black racer snake towards the end of the project too! The homeowner was COMPLETELY STUNNED after seeing the finished product! I wasn't able to reach all the way down to the edge in some areas as the pond bank was a little too steep and far down but the dam section turned out great!

dude, that's what the back fill blade is for, you track down towards the pond, set the blade down and get after it, the side where it was over hanging, you lay the material over with the head and the mulch it on the bank...did this stuff many many times with a cat 308

Love that you're making things "tidy" and accessible for the owners. Having the brush cleared will make walking safer, more enjoyable and help the owner avoid snake meetings.

Those overhanging trees are excellent shade for fish. I have seen many naked bank ponds and not good fishing. Nice tree identification. Oh and I hope more people put up martin boxes around ponds to keep skeeter populations down. God bless. 🙏🕊️😇❤️

Hey! I got just the ticket for the ones you couldn't take out on the bank. I have run into this quite a few times with my KX057 and Fecon Mulcher. So, I just got a Westtech CL260 WoodCracker which is a tree shear. I have used it a few times on my KX057 and it worked really well, we just sheared the stuff and drug it up on the bank and then mulched it. I am down in Charleston and only do this part time so if you would like to try it sometime just let me know and I can bring it up to you to try for a week or so, pretty sure the U55 and KX057 have the same coupler. Just let me know. Good job by the way!

Heh Gavin. Yeah, that bank is really steep & the mini is just not big enough. You can only do what you can, shame the owner left it so long before getting a tidy up. Still looks heaps better though. The Mini & Munchie were perfect for the dam. Hope you had a good weekend😊 Take care & cheers 🐨🦘🥰

I’ve found it just as easy with the wax myrtles to swap out to the bucket and snap them off and drag them out. Then mulch them or make a burn pile. But there again with the Rut mulcher it has the grubbing foot on the back that comes in really handy for manipulating stuff like that. Even helps for positioning machine and pulling it around or pushing back up off those steep banks around ponds. 👍🏼good job

Excellent work. Having cleared the ground cover the pond is going to get a massive infusion of silt run off. That will help smother anything living in the pond that survives the increase in water temperature caused when so many shade trees are removed. The freshly cleared shore line will become home for the fastest growing and most invasive weeds and scrub brush you can imagine. Lovely.
