Jung Kook is South Korean and has been the Main Vocalist of BTS for 10+ years (a group with 3 rappers and 4 vocalists, but lately they each can do most of everything). Jung Kook used to rap in early BTS days and he has stated recently that he'd like to do more rap in his solo activities. We're expecting an album sometime this year, hopefully. Right now, all 7 BTS members are doing solo songs and albums as they gradually enlist in S. Korea's mandatory military. So far, 2 are enlisted. We aren't sure who will be next but believe they will all be enlisted before the end of 2023. They have stated they are anticipating a comeback as a group in 2025-2026 timeframe. Anyway, this is Jung Kook's official solo debut song, and he did it in all English. As of yesterday, 7/24, he topped 3 Billboard Charts at #1, and a UK chart at #3. The MV has 102million views as of me writing this. There is an Explicit version and you can hear that and see the choreography in the Official Performance Video. Latto isn't present in that but her verse is still in it. That scene with the coffin is so Jung Kook who can be a bit cheeky sometimes. :)

I got the impression they weren’t that crazy about the music but they loved the video (concept). If they watched the Performance Video, they would love the dancing but, again, not the music. the genre is UK garage. as yk he's from bts, bts has an unlimited amount of genres in their discorgraphy. their solo music are all different from eachothers. RM had 10 different genres in his album alone. it's rlly worth a shot to keep listening to their songs, you'll never get bored, promise. ik the language barrier is many people's issue but there are cc's for a reason and genius has their translated lyrics as well as a website dedicated to only bts tranlations called dulset. :)

a theory for the mv that a korean army came up with: seeing how the woman jungkook is chasing after is always surrounded by chaos (chandelier falling at the restaurant, water flowing at the laundry room, hurricanes, etc..) she knows her life is all messed up and full of problems thats why she keeps pushing him away, but he doesn't give up and showed her that it doesn't matter if he gets stuck in her messy sh*tty life as long as he's with her, he will be there for her and share her hardships (weight of the world on your shoulders, i kiss your waist and ease your mind), bro even came back to life for her 😭😭. also, when she was at the top of the building, meaning she's living life on edge, always stressed and still he followed her to show her that he doesn't care, that he can sacrifice his peaceful routine to be with her. so even tho it looks like it has that stalker vibe but the music video is so meaningful.

Jungkook is a member of BTS. He is the youngest of the 7 member group. BTS debuted 10 years ago and recently celebrated 10 year anniversary in South Korea. The members have to serve the mandatory military duty so before joining by the end of this year they are doing their solo work. They will reunite as a group in June, 2025.
