I was so so grateful to have you to vent to about Legends and Lattes. 🤣 House at the Cerulean Sea was so much better (but also "fine" for me, haha). I liked the middle best, when the focus was on the kids, but the ending left me underwhelmed. It felt for most of the book like it was building to something, but the something never happened. I also felt the love interest/relationship stuff felt pretty shallow.

Legends and Lattes probably SHOULD have been a DNF for me. I think i just don't really like cozy fiction too much. If you want another fantasy book with a sapphic romance and an orc main character that's not dead boring, i highly recommend AK Larkwood's The Unspoken Name

@@rapidevening I like cozy but need stakes. I like the Miss Percy books by Quenby Olson which I would consider cozy, but they… you know… have a plot 😂 I actually have the Serpent Gates series on my shelves! I really should get to them soon!
