Hi JB! Just wanted to say thanks - my husband and I watched your video from Feb '23 greenhouse glass video and were able to cut all of the awkward panes we needed for our greenhouse this afternoon after following your tips. I think it went especially well for us because there were two of us working together, so when we put the scored glass over a cane to split it we were able to put pressure all down both sides of the scored line and the 'snaps' were so clean and easy that way! I'm an expert now! 🤣

Wow! So lovely to see a garden with such personality! Jess has a natural gift. As for some of the hydrangeas: if they are going to sulk that's their problem. Plenty else to see! A garden that reflects the beauty of the gardener. As it should be.

Thank you so much Louise! Thankfully they have perked up already, jess was right (as always) and they are quite hardy. The rose has gone into the groubd and will trail up the pea frame in future! Can't wait to see it in bloom next year.

It's not easy to control black spot but if you remove the affected leaves from the roses and make a solution of 1 teaspoon baking soda in a litre of water, and spray the infected plants and do it quite often it will help ..hope that helps 🙂

A good tip from Sarah Raven with regard to black spot, she recommends planting salvias at the base of roses. I have had really good results trying this myself. Also worth removing any infected leaves that drop, because the spores will splash up when it rains or when you water and reinfect the healthy growth.

Jess & JB, have you ever seen Indian Mint? I bought some this year from a garden centre near us, I couldn't resist, it smells so nice AND it's trailing :D So cool We went to a stately home a few years back now and they had a rose garden with so many roses in. I went round smelling them all and Gertrude Jekyll was my absolute fave - it's smells incredible. Also, Morrisons usually sell a load of small clematis in many varieties, £2.50. I bought a Wisley Cream the other day, which is an evergreen, late Autumn and Winter flowering one. I also picked up some more of the flower buckets they sell off, 8 for 99p, for my tomatoes :D

Your garden is looking spectacular, well done! Like you, I'm a "find a space and bung it in" type of gardener. My roses got black spot so badly last year that nearly all the leaves dropped off and there was quite a bit of die back as well. So this year I've sprayed them with a systemic fungicide, maybe three times so far, starting when the very first black spots appeared. The plants are so much healthier and stronger and flowering happily now. I hope that no wildlife has been hurt in the process!

It was doing so well, so much so that it needed up potting. The next day after re potting it all wilted. I have put it in the shade but it doesn't look well at all. Any tips or ideas would be greatly received as the chilli guru. My other one needs re potting too but i am hesitant to do so, in case i lose both of them. Thanks and Take care.
