That Tigana is so beautiful! I love the colors. I've been reading KJ Parker's Saevus Corax series, but eventually I want to get Sixteen Ways too. And yeah, that Butcher one is kind of steamp punk fantasy, I really love it. Book 2 needed a bit of time to get going, but man, once it did...

Ooh nice to hear of someone who has read these series as there is a lack of opinion online about them it seems 👍

Great Haul Mate. Vance has been recommended, will check it out. Hope you enjoy Wet Work, a really fun, blood-soaked novel. I've heard great things about Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. I love Thomas Covenant, hope you enjoy the series. Magician is the place to start with Feist! Awesome fantasy series. Laymon has been hit or miss for me. Thanks for winding up my wife during the chat, I'm in deep trouble tonight! 🤣🤣🤣

What an awesome haul, Big Al! Just read the «Lyonesse» Trilogy this spring, fantastic copy you have there! Looking forward to hear your thoughts on the Trilogy, but I think you will love Vance’s prose! 😊 Super cool 90s edition of «Tigana» too! 🤩 The «Siege» Trilogy by KJ Parker is hillarious! 😄

@@bigaldoesbooktube1097 Yeah, I have not read more of him myself, but I understand that under the pseudonym KJ Parker, the mood usually tends to be more serious/tragic and the humor tends to be more dry/dark, but as Tom Holt he has written a bunch of Humorous/Satirical Fantasy somewhat similar to early Terry Pratchett’s «Discworld» or «Monty Python»: «Expecting Someone Taller» (British Suburbia meets Siegfried the Dragonslayer/Nibelunglied), «Flying Dutch» (The Flying Dutchman), «Faust among Equals», «Djinn Rummy», «Who’s Afraid of Beowulf?», etc.

Ah I was unaware of his pseudonym. I really like Discworld and when I was a kid enjoyed Python on the telly.

They punched a hole in the book cover?! That’s madness. Great find on Wisdom of Crowds! I have the floppy paperbacks, but I kinda want the uk hard covers as well just to have them 😂 I’ve had 16 ways to defend a walled city for a while, but haven’t read it yet. I’ll be curious to see what you think if you get to it before I do.

I’ll also be very curious to hear what you think of Laymon 😂 he’s certainly not for everyone, but I’ve had fun with some of his books. They’re all ridiculous. I’ve definitely filled my shelves!

Lyonesse for some reason is rarelly mentioned on Booktube which is a shame as it's great. That Tiganna is a lovely edition. Great to see that version of Lord Fouls Bane, the chronicles are a Polarising read I'm on the , it's a masterpiece side. lots of other great books to get your teeth into.

You are right about Vance, in general really. It seems like only this year bigger booktubers have started mentioning him.
