June 15, 2024: Lava Overflow at North Lava Lake of Iceland Volcano
This is Iceland's first 4K 24/7 live stream of the volcanic activity near the town of Grindavik Iceland. At approximately 12:45pm local time on May 29, 2024 a new fissure opened up in the Sundhnúk crater row. A camera tour of the entire visible eruption site runs every 15 minutes.
This camera is situated on the southern tip of Þorbjörn. Þorbjörn is a 243 m high volcanic mountain next to the town of Grindavík. The camera is usually pointed Northeast at the erupting volcano but may occasionally pan north or south to observe other features of the area. It is about 2km away from the erupting volcano.

That blue lagoon nearby is done for. They said the lava is tall enough to destroy the blue lagoon if lava flows over the older flow one more time, and it's gonna happen sooner or later. Hope I am wrong, but it's unfortunately likely I will be right.
Interesting, on a related note, Icelandic government has just announced they are spending $3 million euros to bring in large capacity water pumps to cool some areas of the lava flows. Hopefully this will redirect the lava toward open areas away from infrastructure

That's stupid! They have any idea of what will happen when water touches lava? Look at the first day of this eruption, lava hit the water underground, and it caused massive explosions, (and lots of dangerous gas.) Not worth the risk of lives.
Fantastic ❤
I like that bubbler, on the right
There’s also a huge flow from right to left along the farthermost edge: where is that headed? Blue Lagoon? Grindavick?
Where'd it go?

It's heading to the blue lagoon from the looks of it, since it is north of that, and the lava is going there.
