    Been in your shoes JBG, no matter how much you want to hurry up the process. Those slow warehouse crews still work faster at their own pace just because they know what goes on. Funny how truck unloading stops till each pallet is correctly stacked.!!! LOL

    Boy, does that bring back memories and I don't miss it. Warehouse know most drivers on a schedule. So they make the DRIVERS break down their FREIGHT! I drove for years having to do that. It's a racket! Warehouse don't hire any more employees than they have too. But perishables are STILL outta sight price wise. Somebody is saving a TON of money here! The outside world doesn't see any of this!. They just get their product from the grocery store and are on their merry way!

    Some companies don't care how much it cost to send something on a tractor trailer they don't care if it is full or not. Carrier probably still charges full amount.

    the paletts are mixed because in the production process different batches are made. For example: the first production batch of the day are chicken thighs and those run out of stock during the production process. After that the thighs are going on a palett for a type of customer. If this customer also have ordererd fresh chicken breast and those are in stock, the production controller would line those in the production line. just one scenario

  • @danachappell3861
    @danachappell38616 жыл бұрын

    Hey Johnny!! I think why they are mixed up is because there's so few of each box, and putting them on different pallets is a waste of space and it's easier to pack them onto the least amount of pallets possible. I don't think you would want to carry a pallet that has 4 boxes on it, and another that has 14, another that has 2, and another that has 60. Personally I think they are numbnuts.. lmbo. Keep safe and keep 'er between the lines. :)

    Logistics101 What you have here is a replenishment load, for many lines of product. Ordering small amounts is more economic than full pallets, especially on slow moving stock. Demand is driven by Electronic Point Of Sale - A computer decides how much stock to order to maintain a minimum stock level. You should have told him that your remaining pallets are time critical and he should just check the quantities and not do a sort, on your time!
