You may not think you're hispanic enough but it was enough for me to feel connected to you guys as a Hispanic girl myself who also enjoys creating things, fashion, beauty, simple living, thrift shopping, starbies (lol), etc.
Hair is looking soooo good
Why are people shaming you over $75 sunglasses? My Ray-Ban Wayfarers were about $125, and I can confidently say that they were worth the splurge. They are MUCH more comfortable to wear than the cheap fast-fashion versions, and the quality is so much better. I'm pretty sure the knockoffs I had lasted six months, while these are still going strong after six and a half years.

I'll never understand why people get so excited over how others spend their money. She didn't ask for people to pay her electric bill and then went out and bought the glasses so who cares?

Mark Beam I agree! It’s not like she is forcing anyone to buy them. People are just mad and upset because they have other priorities yet they are jealous and want the same. That’s their problem. I see this all the time. Subs who complain about price. Then I say: «don’t watch». Personally I only wear Karen Walker sunglasses which costs between $100-$300. I take care of my things, had mines for years, and I use sunglasses every day, in any type of weather, let it be night or day. So that justifies the price tag in my opinion. If you are someone who always looses your glasses or ruins them, then sure don’t buy designer glasses becsause it will be a waste. Reality is people want the quality or the product, but they don’t want to pay the price. I say fuck them😂 I ordered these in black and can’t wait to get them! And tbh in the long run buying cheap shit won’t benefit you because they will break then you have to buy new ones over and over again, and in the end you’ve spent around the same amount on new cheap glasses when you could have gotten one quality pair that will last you for years.
those sunglasses are so iconic omg
Wow, I'm told that I'm not Latina enough all the time!!!! We never spoke Spanish or did anything traditionally Mexican at all in my house growing up for a multitude of reasons, but I miss that part of my culture and I always feel like it's too late to start now, like I'm a fake or something. That's crazy that you brought that up because I think about that often- thank you for this!!

parker shaw - Girrrrrrll this is a pet peeve of mine. People who shame latinos who Don't speak Spanish. Just because you don't speak the language does NOT mean you're not Mexican enough!!!!! And don't let others discourage you from learning more about your culture or starting to observe traditions.

Girl same. Everyone like this link up lmao 😂
I live for your content! I hardly watch anyone else anymore cause they're not relatable like you guys. keep up the amazing work!
The white marble Lolita shades are gorgeous
I grew up in Mexico but even so a lot of people don't believe it and my Mexicans friends also say that I'm not "Mexican enough" just because I'm not so heavily involved with the music, food, etc. I grew up in a non-traditional household so of course I'm a bit different plus I branched myself into different things and with that I developed my own "taste". People used to make me feel bad for it but it doesn't bother me so much anymore because I know who I am and although I'm not your "average" latina I know deep inside that I'm latina enough and that I love and respect my culture but that I also want to just want to be my own person. I hope that you can (if you want to) learn and connect with your culture but don't feel bad for the way that you were raised because that is part of who you are
Steps you are glowing in this vid. I hope you and Melissa have a good rest of your Sunday 🎀
I completely understand not feeling "latina enough," but all that can change baby girl & one day you will be the person full of self love. Being Latina is a beautiful thing. xx
Honestly when i found yall i was soooooo excited, bc you guys are latinas. Now yall are my favorite youtubers bc i see so much of myself in you guys!! Its so hard to fully connect with other fashion youtubers bc i look nothing like them, and i know what ever you guys like or trends you try will work with me bc of our similarities. Its so refreshing seeing other creative latinas, esp because you guys are so unique and constantly improving. I love you guys!!! You guys keep making amazing content and have inspired me so much!!! I cant wait for the next video :)
Omg I remember when steph first got that necklace
put a little water on a spoolie and rub it across a clear bar of soap, then put it on your brows! works like magic 😊
I live in England and when you mention stores and products that are foreign im so lost but I don't even care I'm so addicted to your channel. You're the only non British channel I love to watch 🙌🏼
Girl, it is never too late to learn about your heritage and I love how up front you are about it!. I am latina, was raised around the culture, am fluent in the language, but now at 26 is when it's really starting to come out and I'm really embracing it. It's like everything else in life, some things just take a little longer to spark something in you :)
I LOOOOVVEEE this background!!! 💓💓
Y'all introduced me to the Chipotle Tabasco in one of your vlogs and now I'm addicted!
Steph, please don't feel the need to justify your purchases. people have no right to shame you, let alone you two, that know the value of money and hard work and make informed and thought-through purchases. there is nothing wrong with investing in something good quality and unique and that makes you feel good instead of getting tons of cheap sunglasses that are so disposable in the long run. I love your videos and never get tired of watching them, contrary to most youtubers I am subscribed to. there is a very authentic quality to your personalities that shines through. I'm glad you girls exist and can serve as role models to teens showing them an achievable and mindful lifestyle. much love!
Hey love I can relate to you with not feeling like your Latina enough. My family is from Honduras and I was born in the U.S. Growing up, I was teased for being too quiet and not loud enough. I was teased for liking different types of music and loving things my classmates didn't. As a teen, I never related to my classmates or family members because I enjoyed other stuff. I even dressed differently and always felt like an outsider. I'm 22 now and I've learned to love my culture. I feel even more confident about my culture and I'm still learning. I can relate to you because I love fashion, makeup, thrifting and going to Starbucks. I hope one day you're able to gain that confidence too ❤
I'm so glad you mentioned Clara and Mariana cause I love to look through their IG's and people like them are the reason I learned to embrace my latina culture and have latina pride. They really are inspiring.
The quality, the back drop, I am livingggggggg!
Yay! I got super excited when this came up!
YES STEPH! I love favorites videos, honestly buy what you want and whatever makes you happy, its your money and usually you are pretty good about not spending money or crazy expensive things TREAT YOSELF
That book sounds so good! Thank you for another great video
This lighting is SO flattering on you!! Also, those sunnies are dreamy 😍
Your hair and makeup looks so good!
steph, just wanted to say thanks for always being honest in your vids & for making great content. don't feel insecure about not being latina enough--that's based on an essentialized/singular/all-encapsulating idea of what being latina is, when obviously, there's a bunch of beautiful differences within the latinx population. never too late to embrace your background & heritage! xo
i just got out of my night shift BLESS YOU GUYS
THIS WAS AMAZING!
omg i just found your channel and I'm in love wow your aesthetics are everything
loved the background it looked so cute and added something to the video!
I love how even Punky's favorite hair gel is in the 'Punk' scent/style, love yaa Punky and Mel
Great video! And the background is killer ✨💖
Come through production value 💕 Amazing video
yesss punk i loved this
Loving that necklace Steph!
Love those sunglasses. Totally going to buy them.
such a great video love!
You don't have to explain to people why you bought something. YOU pay your bills and these haters don't. If you can afford it than live your life girl 😎
Great video! I loveeee the thumbnail 😍😍😍😍😍
Loving the quality 🥂
finally !!!! 💓
i wish mel would also include her favorites! it would be nice to see a comparison of what you both are loving for the month ❤️ x
I hope they have that book at my library. I always used to go to get movies and cds like you guys and you guys make me want to get into that again ❤️
Yay! Thumbs up before I even watch 😆.
Just started the video and the background is poppin 💕
I always end up buying the faves you show!! I bought the yes to face wash and it was amazing because it got rid of a lot of my bumps! I also just splurged on the Last Lolita in black and I'm excited for them to arrive! Now I'm gunna buy the Dove deodorant! Lmao thank you so much for these videos!! They're really helpful 😊🙌
Sometimes it's better have investment pieces on things like sunglasses glasses shoes or bags because those are things we know we're gonna use again and again. If you keep buying cheap ones you'll just have to buy them over and over again and end up spending about the same kind of money in the long run. Besides those sunglasses look bad ass on you and Mel
Aweee thank you so much
You are who you are and I love you and Mel.
im so down with that background!!!is it a diy?? and that necklace is insane rad!!! I must got to ULTA when we go to the states 3 bucks just amazing!!!We don't get good makeup prices like that here in New Zealand
You are Latina I'm your 55 year old Puerto Rican subbie and love both you girls!
Have you tried using regular mascara on yr brows? That's what I do, I actually stopped using the Anastasia brow gel bc it was so pricy and went to regular mascara instead. It gives a lot of hold and it adds a lot of definition :)

Gabrielle Magana yessss! I used to use the Anastasia brow gel and my brows would never stay in place. I'm guessing it's because my eyebrow hairs are too long, but mascara really keeps them in place like ALL DAY.
Omg don't get me started on the Chipotle Tabasco. It's the best thing ever !!!!!
honestly had to pause right away after u mentioned ur tmj- i have this too- had it for years. it was really bad when i was 16-19, to the point where my jaw would lock for days and we had to consider surgery. thankfully it's better now, but gurl i feel u so hard. it fucked with my confidence and anxiety so bad and i've NEVER heard anyone talk about it before

cherryexplosion27 kind of a late reply but I have TMJ as well and I just paused the video to see if anyone commented about it. I'm 19 and its really bad right now but this comment gave me hope that it will get better, so thank you for that.

Haya Jaffri i hope it gets better for u love! please if u are able, do get a doctor or specialist appointment, because i know how painful and confusing it can be. it takes time... took me 2+ years of jaw exercises, day and night splints, pain relief gels and lots of prayer to start getting better. i still have days where it hurts or clicks/moves but they are so much less frequent- once every few months, as opposed to every week when i was a teen. i'm 23 now. i hope u feel better soon! xoxo
I use the essence brow gel too and I actually use the boy brow brush instead of the essence one so it's more gentle and gets the product to hold better due to the nicer brush.
Yay!
You remind me of Audrey plaza. I love you.
I use the Moco de Gorila on my kids hair and my husband's, it is the best!!! It is really sticky and I agree it flakes, but it is amazing! Walmart has it cheaper than Target.
The background! 😍
about that "not feeling Latina enough" it's not too late to start learning more about the culture and traditions. Coming from someone who has a lot of Latin pride I hope you can gain some as well (:
If you're wanting to follow more girls who are confident in their latina/hispanic heritage, I run the risk of being predictable by recommending Daisy a.k.a HotCheetoMami (on both KZread and instagram). It's really difficult to describe her overall vibe but she just doesn't have a care in the world and I love it.
Hair routine and makeup video on this look please! You look absolutely gorgeous!
My boyfriend uses that pomade everyday he works...honestly truly I thought he had horrible dandruff I now realize it's the hair gel😂, also my sentiments are the exact same on regular tobasco! Why would I burn my throat for fun!? Great faves and I love the background 💕
yees Latina pride!!! love you guys
dat background thooo 💘💘💘💘
My dad uses that hair gel but always dilutes it a little with water to avoid those flakes.
You should do a thrift challenge, buying entire outfits for each other!
I chew gum for the same reason Steph! for me chewing gum is like a grounding technique so I do it when I need to calm down a bit
You look gorgeous in this video!
Revelation :o it could probably be good on french fries now that I am thinking of it hahaha
Steph, where is your top from in this video?
Ok yes that dove deoderant is so good im a sweaty binch but ooooh my gooood it keeps me dry
Try the Tabasco Haberno! It's spicier! I am trying to be healthy so I eat my boiled/poached food with it.
@Stephanie: I believe you could take the PUNKY necklace to a plater and have it plated with silver or gold and it would last for a long time. Just an idea for you, friend!

You should try the Cholula chipotle hot sauce!
You are so pretty 😍
really missing the vlogs :(
okay fellow people does or does not Steph remind you of Anna Kendrick like voice wise and such !! Oh and Peep Mellos supah cute nails in the product showing :)
Hey Steph your hair grows really quickly are you drinking any vitamins to help out with that or is it because you trim your ends on a regular basis ... asking for a friend lol jk i'm the friend
you look gorgeous in this video :) your eyes look really big
Everyone Keeps talking about boy brow so I want to see if its worth the hype. Great video !!!

Brenda Grant If you have thick brows, it's great because all it does is tame your brows just like any other brow gel but I have thin brows and it is literally a worthless product.
I really wanna try that tobasco, but I can't find it anywhere! (Maybe it's regional? I live in Ohio.) Also, hot sauce on fries is delicious. 👌👌😩😩
Punky u should check out this girl hitomi mochizuki shes a beautiful soul. She meditates and is super spiritual shes vegan and loves to eat healthy and exercise. She thrifts and loves to create . I'd love the Le Specs ones though for sure, been obsessed since I saw you guys get them. You both suit them so much. Excellent video too as per :) xx
dove isn't cruelty free sadly, i heard a few times that you were trying to get rid of animal cruelty items so just letting you know! really sucks, dove has my favorite deodorant too
that's how I am my dad is from gudalajara but my mom is Mexican American my dad was never in my life till recently and he is big on the Mexican thing but me I was born and raised in Arizona and was always around snooty white people lol so I talk like a white girl lol and I dad was so upset he has tried so much to change me but its just not going to happen you know
