I dig it. Illegal install though dawg. I don’t really gaf, if it was my house I’d do the same. But you’re supposed to use a 2 prong receptacle since you don’t have the ground there. Used to be able to install a gfi instead to bypass the 2 prong rule. Your installation methods looked good, I would’ve fished that with zero patchwork needing done. Try it next time, use a fish tape. Customers hate when they have to call a drywaller out to patch and that means they will call you again next time. Lastly, that looked like 12awg wire existing. IF it was, and IF that was a 20a breaker make sure you’re using 12awg. Otherwise it looked like clean work, even with the patchwork needing done you still at least replaced the piece of drywall. My boss calls that a drill also and it drives me nuts, that’s an impact driver. He will ask for a drill and I will hand him a drill and he will get mad. Sometimes drill means impact driver to him but also drill sometimes means drill to him 😂

GFCI is fine, no ground is fine too. Same as just bypassing the ground with a ground lift.

@@Globerson no ground isn’t fine bub. Not with a 3 prong receptacle. You can argue it any way you want but if it ain’t gfci protected it’s illegal.
