Great video. Very informative! This is my exact process except I make a larger batch, 56 grams in 2 cups then reduce 1 cup down into feco for gummies. They're around 25ish milligrams in a 1ml gummy. Only thing I would do differently is when you're reducing use a laser thermometer if possible or any thermometer and keep the tincture around 130°-140° so you don't overheat and degrade the THC and reduce potency.

@James Clark depends on the quality of the starting material. When I reduce my tincture I do it in the pan I'm going to make my gummies in so I don't know exactly how much I pull but guessing I'd say at least 4-5 grams of FECO off of 1 cup of tincture. I'm basing this off of when once in a pinch, I had to buy a couple grams of FECO to make a batch, and it wasn't even half of the amount I usually use.

@bhutburnz779 It's very potent and you'll enjoy it. My gummies are strong even after reducing the tincture, so if you're not planning to reduce, it'll be even stronger since you're not adding any heat to degrade THC potency.

Yes the tincture is the way to go for gummies. No oil separation. I prefer my oil and butters for baking. I get much better results. Lots of great idea from this vid!!!! Thanks for the info!!

Most of the tincture I make, I reduce to oil using an air distiller. It reclaims 90% or more of the alcohol, which I save and reuse for making more tincture!

@@alexb5812 Mine is a Megahome brand air distiller. Bought it online from The Water Guy in British Columbia. It's the one modified specifically for alcohol distillation, and producing oils. Hope that helps!

"Strength" of your tincture is going to depend heavily on the THC content of your herb.

Why is mine golden brown? Was brown after the tincture came out of the magic butter machine … I used the decarb box at 250 for 30 mins then used the butter machine for 8 hours at 130 degrees. Did 40grams to 2 -3 cups of ever clear . HELP

I made the gummies today. I'm feeling real good but don't expect your gummies to look like his . They will not be red. But they will be good

Walmart sells them where I live . In blue & brown & the clear . And TSC . Tractor supply center , southern states ..

I had to move the machine to another room bc it was very Loud at night. Was it OK to unplug it then restart?

Probably no real reason to…essentially it’ll be like taking a shot…but take into consideration that it’s always gonna have that weed taste. I tried…you taste nothing but alcohol

why do i have to put the herb into the machine for making a tincture if its already decarboxylated? could you not just put it in a jar with alcohol and wait? or can i use the machine with fresh flower as well?

You can definitely add it to a jar to naturally infuse it, it just takes a while, which is where the machine makes it much easier.

Tricomes melt immediately 1-3 minutes is all you need super cold and you can use the same alcohol for 4 batches filters and reduce in a water distiller and have the booze to wash again. They just selling you a product. Long soak or cooking allows so much more chlorophyll into the tincture. Chlorophyll and dark green crap gives you gut rot
