Hawke looks like Nick Nolte’s mug shot. He’s a washed up alcoholic, with a bad ticker, and a lot of baggage. Nevertheless, she wants him to sire her baby. Probably because he has nice teeth. Especially the lateral incisors. I bet dentists paid for this movie.

I love the "...real mature, Annie!" part. This looks like an enjoyable flick...a fun way to spend an hour & an half or so! I'm looking forward to seeing this movie hit the theatres.

Rose Byrne looks so much like Julie Delpy. My heart was just happy seeing her with Ethan Hawke. Major 'Before Series' Hangover for me.

Talk about perfect casting. Byrne, Hawke, and O'Dowd are all perfect for their roles.

He didn't steal the girl, the guy treated his beautiful girl like shit and she just found someone who actually treated her right. Chris O'Dowd usually plays the nice guys, but here his character is just a jerk not as douchy as in Cuban Fury, but still...

I've noticed that Ethan Hawke's face looks like Dr. Strange. 😍😍 He's so charming!! 🌟🌟

Forms Sim They're not married. He's her boyfriend who breaks up with her because she doesn't like the album of his idol. Besides he didn't want kids and she did so there were other issues. She starts talking to the idol, they meet and fall in love. No cheating, not really abandoning, just relationship issues and it didn't work out in the end. It seems pretty lighthearted to me

Having read the book I have to this is actually the darkest comedy Nick Hornby has ever written, even darker than The Long Way Down, which is book about four persons committing suicide. I don't know how the movie will change the core of the book but I really hope it doesn't turn out to be too light-hearted as I absolutely loved the book.

I was wondering why the title sounded so familiar, then realised I'd read the book by Nick Hornby. His books seem to translate well into rom-coms

I did love Poldark but it's gone down since the first season (as all shows do :/)- I also didn't like a scene where one of the 'good guys' rapes someone (although the cast/production ppl said it wasn't rape, you can make that judgement for yourself)- still, even now I have to watch it for the characters I love (although still heart broken from the death of my favourite character), and the setting/cinematography/costuming are all amazing- I'd honestly watch it just to see Cornwall look so beautiful. I'd describe it as an historical drama- almost like an historical soap but that sells it short... shit goes down though.

Weird, this is exactly what happened with me & guy I met on the internet in 2014. Said his name was Paul, said he was in some band in England in the 60's called the bugs or the cockroaches or something. Claimed his friend also in the band named John was murdered & he had a wife named Linda, I think it was. Not sure I believed all his stories but he was a really nice guy.

Loved this movie, reminds me of the Before movies. I wanted to know more what happens.

This movie was filmed in my home town over a few months. I Never thought in my life I would see Roy from IT crowd walk past my house.

This film was a pleasant surprise. Ethan Hawke just gets better and better.

Caitlin Wilde Recently he was in Maudie ( a great indie about a talented Canadien painter ) Magnificent 7 with Denzel and others. ( western based on Kurasawa’s 7 samurai) and First reformed ( small itresting indie rising questions about belief and self truth) and his very last one is Blaze autobiographical movie about Blaze Foley a country singer from Texas (which i am seen next week). All great movies !

Not Supply & Demand, it is competition. Men can really not resist competition and they will try so much harder in a competition. Which is why some women try and get a few men to compete for her. Quite the simple manipulation. Competition just overrides their intelligence. Stupid men.

Yeah, @ 1:23... I'm curious as to how much of his character was inspired by Jeff. Looking forward to the film; I'd go to see _any_ film that Hawke's in. (This summer marks the 21st anniversary of Buckley's death. I wonder how much longer it's going to take to get a proper bio-flick up onto the silver screen.)

Would not surprise me. Nick Hornby's a big music guy, i hear. Same - apparently the new Paul Schrader film Hawke is in is awesome, too. Yeah, they've been trying to get one off the ground for a while. Heard that musician Reeve Carney was signed up a few years back, but that project seems to have died away. Maybe if the Queen film does big business it would make the Buckley project seem viable to studios. Fingers crossed; would die to see it.

the music supervisor said when they wrote the songs Ethan Hawke sings, he wanted them to feel like Jeff Buckley/ Paul Westerberg stuff like that. So yeah def. The soundtrack is out and funnily enough one of the songs is playing in the background of the trailer.

Looks good. Perfect picture for me and my wife.

I love every Nick Hornby adaptation, even The Long Way Down which most people hated.
