Julien's 10.85 into a headwind is 10.78 when you convert to 0 wind. 10.78 is also her pb. She's definitely consistent. She'll have to pb again to make podium tho.

Yup...from around the time I saw her win the 60 indoors I counted her in...and with how our athletes are right now, I do hope if we can't do it she does. It would be a MASSIVE deal...I know she'll be emotional if she wins....That said, this might be her best chance as I know next year those with injuries gonna heal up and some youngins who are on the rise gonna be bigger contenders, so this might be her best option. Good luck to her.

Based on the form of ALFRED she's a contender for the podium. However pre-championship times doesn't guarantee a win. Last year SHERICKA did 10.65s for the 100m at the JAM Nat Trials and didn't win at the 2023 WC. 2021 SAFP 10.63s for the 100m and didn't win at the TOKYO Olympic. It all comes down to the form of the athlete at the championship.

@@hollywoodpineapple8337 I agree that Shericka using SAFP was part of the reason why she lost to ShaCarri. But also ShaCarri was helped by placing her in lane 9 which would make it difficult for Shericka to see her. The organizer helped ShaCarri because her time of 10.84 in the semis was faster than swoboda and Asher-Smith who both had the same semi time of 11.1 but were put in lane 1 and 2 respectively. And they did the same thing again in the 200m final putting ShaCarri in lane 9 although she had a faster semi time than other athletes.

@@jake100mi5 I agree that Shacarri took the race more seriously but Shericka wasn't looking to run 10.60 to beat her...that's the problem...She wasn't focusing on running her best...She was using SAFP to gage the race overconfidently thinking that well Shelly is definitely going to beat shacarri so all she has to do is beat shelly...notice that it was LAST minute that shacarri clipped her on the line...and as the above said, shacarri all the way in lane 9 helped her a lot...Shericka makes fumbles like that all the time just like when she didnt qualify in the 200m during olympics, it wasnt because she could run faster it was that she misjudged the race. Hopefully she has her head on straight and is no longer going to make those errors.

@@hollywoodpineapple8337 camera angles create really false narratives Look at the splits from 0-30 Shelly was leading by literally 0.02 meaning if they was all next to each there about even just that sha’carri being in lane throws it off but if you watch the race SJ and SFP pretty much neck and neck sha’carri right there to SFP was clocked at 4.09 SJ at 4.10 SCR 4.11 Now when we get to the 60m mark they are all even SJ at 6.93 SFP at 6.94 SCR at 6.94 meaning again they are all even now this where your term clipped at the line is wrong those final 40m SCR at 3.71 SJ at 3.79 SFP at 3.83 Again Camera angles are deceiving but if SCR was right next to SJ and SFP she would have started pulling away SJ didn’t forget sha’carri the thing is sha’carri kept pace with them 0-60m didn’t let her competition get away like she’s done in the past she had good start and executed well. SJ just had slower final 40m my guess her body probably didn’t fully recover after that semi final when she went 10.79

A lot is running around the 10.8 barrier, who gonna notch silver and bronze is an argument. For even Shelly can pop back from a 10.90 season opener .. .. While Tia is bound to peak !

Who expected Jacobs to win the men's 100m over Kerley at the Tokyo Olympics? It all comes down to the form that the athletes come with at the championship. Many people didn't expect didn't expect ETH to defend her OLYMPIC titles based on her performance at the NAT Trials, lack of competition and injury concern (achilles injury). However she defied the odds because she is coached by the best female sprinter coach in the world so no one should write off SHERICKA in the 100m or 200m.

@@philbertgrant3744 It will take a least a 10.7 but more than likely a 10.6 to beat Sha'carrie in Paris. Who have you seen this season that can do that? Julien and Dina are just an upgraded version of Ta Lou at best. Shericka is obviously not in the shape necessary to pose a meaningful challenge. Shelly is past her prime.
