Of course, it's simply tragic that 'Julie' had to be hand raised, however, thank God there are people & nonprofit Foundations in this World who truly care about & respect Nature & Wildlife...I pray Julie will grow up to be a confident, healthy & content Chimpanzee with a SAFE enriched Life...Thank you for your caring hearts...I hope Julie is doing well today in 2018...

the oldest chimp on record was hand raised and a pet all his life. Cheetah the chimp lived to be 80 years old. Whats tragic about that? they live on average 29 years in the wild! Do you like the fact that they die early in the wild? I dont get you people! Do your own research and believing everything you hear.

They are at a ZOO! Apparently this baby has no mother. They are social like people and need to be mothered and taught what is ok to eat etc., how to be social with others correctly and much more.

What make the Baby chimp today.???? What happened to her .????

The problem,as I see it,is that baby chimps are just too cute for their own good (or anyone else’s).

I am so happy this chimp has someone to take care if her. BUT......She needs to be in a sanctuary with a surrogate mother who is a chimpanzee. Please, this won't end well for anybody!!

There is always a sadness in a baby primates eyes when it is not with it's mother and it's own kind. As if it somehow knows this is not right.

I love how gentle the guy is with this baby. Very heartwarming.

this video could have been so much better without the riduculous music and slow motion. why wouldn't you just play the audio from the interaction and play it regular speed instead of dressing up some lady and making a clearly staged video?

The choice of music and or visual effects in a motion picture or KZread is done to enhance the on screen image there are many scenes in popular movie that were "made"what they were by there musical score, Sometimes the original recorded sound is unuseable , poor recorded sound quality , background noise like a jet plane passing over- head or just no sound or dialogue dead air as its called in broadcasting TV or especially radio slow motion makes visible what happens to quickly slow s action to make enhances what's happening, the blow from a boxers glove to an opponent's body all movies reflect the director producers artistic vision as his or her vision We Thank You at flamit54 for " Hand Raising of Female Chimp Julie" your efforts are very much appreciated! if you can't agree with this movie maker vision Pick up a camcorder video capable camera or your smartphone and make your own movie about whatever it is you want to say, and say it your way

CHIMPS ARE NOT PETS!!!! So treating them like a human infant.

Plot twist... the man in this film made this video for the woman in this film as he secretly was in love with her and Julie was their furbaby. (Seriously, if you go back and watch it as if this was the case, it would seem as if it was so)

It needs constant pepper spray and forced underwater dunking sessions in an ice filled sink to keep it under control!

Cute Chimp, I hope someday he is paired with his own. In five years, well you know what will happen to him. If they only could stay that small, or a little bigger. They would have been domesticated 5000 years ago. But they get bigger and much much stronger.

Hmmmm....Most people aren't brave enough to openly admit they are going to abuse an animal. I hope to God you get caught with it, and do some time....3 yr minimum. And let's say you don't get caught with it.....what the hell are you going to do in 3-5 years when it's 3-4-5 times stronger than you are?? You'll donate to a traveling zoo or something stupid just to get rid of it before it kills you. I bet this kind of truth isn't in your "bigs plans" for it.
