@@RebeccaStropoli big deal! It’s the whole interview that I was referring to. Bill was more interested in the Beatles and get as much information about John Lennon and the Beatles than in Julian. But even then, he wasn’t letting Julian finish any sentence and just kept interrupting to talk about his experiences. It was all very frustrating as all his interviews are. That constant laugh also indicates how insecure he is and in each interview he likes to justify why he is not married and doesn’t like children.
Bill was incredibly inappropriate at times, but it showed how gracious Julian is. What a wonderful man he turned out to be! So intelligent, sensitive, caring and down to earth. I hope he finds true love again. He deserves it.

I am triggered for Julian, he’s so composed and such a kind soul. Bill was so obnoxious. You can feel how different their auras are. @leeannemasserang217 Yes I agree. It was all about the Beatles. Even after Julian said "Hey Jude" was connected with his father leaving the family, Bill still harped on about Paul "come on he wrote you a song!". Very insensitive. He even presumed he could decide the title of Julian's book; again relating it to the Beatles, not to Julian. And who so disrespectfully asks "how big is your d..k?" in an interview? What really bugs me is how Sean Lennon is old enough to know that his brother, Julian, got screwed over by Yoko through being deprived of a share of John Lennon's music catalogue--Sean is old enough to actually do something about it, but chooses not to, and despite this, Julian shows him love and kindness---far more than he deserves. I think Julian is such a great artist in his own right!!! Great interview!!!
I love Julian Lennon’s songs. His latest album is soooo good! And he seems like a wonderful person!
It must be frustrating for Julian to have to always talk about his dad and the Beatles. Bill forgot to ask about what Julian is up to, what he is working on or what's important to him.
Julian should not only CALL Paul, but they should record a song together before it's too late. Their voices would sound fastastic together and if they write a song together it would be a new one by Lennon and McCartney 😊

Billy is too selfish and self centered to let a great like Julian Lennon take the spotlight from him. He’s a different man since 1967. John loved Paul. Billy he hated. Poor Julian, he did not know what was going on then suddenly the witch, Yoko, comes on scene, hypnotizing his father. This will make a great book one day when all is revealed. A great tragedy for Julian, (who I’m sure knows), and the world.
Great interview! Julian is a great man, I understand all the pain he had to endure in his childhood and youth. But one thing is certain, he is a really good person!
Julian is very authentic. Very kind soul and talented musician.
Bill spends the first ten minutes talking about Julian and then the next hour and a half talking about himself and The Beatles. I have a feeling this is the kind of radio interview that Julian mentioned was burning him out with anxiety.

had the same feeling. I don't know why Bill thought Julian would enjoy talking or discussing the Beatles. I have a feeling this is precisely what he wanted to avoid in his life. Hence him saying that he didn't even want to go and see Get Back. You can sense his anxiety throughout this interview.

@@screamstation Agree 100%. This was a horrible interview by Mahr. Lennon did a nice job of remaining the gentleman and not getting up and walking out. If Mahr wants to do a Beatles interview why dosen't he call Paul or Ringo? You could tell by the end that Lennon was getting board with Mahr and his Beatles this, Beatles that, bullshit. Mahr really let me down on this one.

He gives ample time to his lucky guests to say something of interest and if they fail, he picks up the slack and maintains momentum. Nobody wants to hear this random guy’s personal anecdotes. The thing I respect most about Julian is that he has every reason to be angry with his father, but the media has always been, "your Dad this" or "your Dad that" and he's managed to make peace with it and be just a gentle soul about the whole thing.

I first heard the Beatles when I was 5 years old and am a huge John Lennon fan with enormous respect for his abilities. He was the reason I became a musician. However, I have more respect for Julian as a man. Julian is a talented man in his own right, who appears to have weathered the storm with his head intact. Much easier said than done. Enormous respect for Cynthia for keeping him grounded. Well, at least as grounded as can be expected. I’m sure Julian has had his moments. Looking forward to the Brothers teaming up.
Wow. What an interesting life that Julian Lennon has had. His life has been both a blessing and a curse and also being born in the public eye and having to endure scrutiny his whole life. I'm glad he seems to have come to terms with his past and his fathers' musical legacy, but yet still healing from his childhood trauma. It's amazing that he has turned out so well and had his own musical success, and he seems to be so levelheaded.
I watched this solely for Julian - Bill’s drunk high fan girl Beatles love was a tad much - Julian is such a kind soul and wicked funny and cheeky - wish I could have heard MORE of Jules …………
Julian seems like such a real guy, thoughtful, intuitive, friendly, and certainly plenty of history and ideas to chat about. And Bill still can’t help spending half the time talking over him.

I can’t begin to comprehend Julian’s pain from witnessing John’s immense devotion and interaction with Shaun, and being the househusband so he could be completely hand’s on in the raising of Shaun w/Yoko. To always be there. I admired that John stepped up to be completely available, but always felt that it must’ve been a double slap for Julian. Especially after John had such little involvement with Julian! In the end, celebrities are just people with different jobs than most. Have always thought that it wasn’t worth the exchange for having to give up so much freedom that we non-celebrities take for granted. You can be very proud Julian…you’ve been through it and seem like a true compassionate gentleman! I hope you are as happy as can possibly be, and live a long, peaceful life 🌻💜
So many instances where Julian was about to open up about something and Bill would just talk right over him about his own personal take on things. I think Bill invites guys on not to find out about them but more so to tell them how much he knows about things that they are about.
I am embarrassed for Julian that he had to put up with Bill stupid questions and his drunk talk. Julian is superior in character and Bill not even close to his league. I truly thought Julian was so polite to Bill even though the conversation had no benefit to Julian at all. Wow Bill get it together
This is a very sloppy interview on Bill Mahr’s part. Julian is so composed - and gracious and kind. What does not kill you makes you stronger and Julian has handled his issues brilliantly. This interview has made me aware of how fabulous Julian Lennon is.

This is the first interview I have ever heard with Julian Lennon. He is amazing and interesting. He is very considerate. I really like him so much. He had a hard life as a child being the son of John Lennon. Julian really turned out amazing. I did not know he was not married, and some women could use him, that would be very sad.
Just a very pleasant personality. No sign of arrogance ❤
A great interview. Julian is very kind, revealing and patient with Bill’s fan girl obsession with his Dad’s band. He navigates it all very graciously. It would be all-encompassing to have John Lennon as your Dad, especially in that business. Him and Sean did very well and both make great music.
