Julian Jackson was a monster. He’s often mistaken as a crude slugger when he was actually a boxer-puncher. Not the most skilled boxer and he can be outboxed but his timing, accuracy, and punching technique more than makes up for that. His punches were like a bolt of lightning that zaps his opponents out the moment they are hit clean with a big one.

Would have been fun to see Michael Nunn and Jackson fight at middleweight. Before Nunn lost to Toney. Nunn wasn’t the same after that KO loss. He was winning the fight too. I don’t know if he could have handled Jackson’s power but I’m also not sure in Jackson could handle Nunn’s boxing. Would have good.

Jackson's best days were down at 154 lbs. Sure he could crack at Middleweight and he certainly knocked out some great fighters but I tend to match him up more at Super Welter than anything, I see Nunn outboxing him and taking a decision.

I would say Gerald McClellan punched as hard as Julian Jackson, but was a better boxer. Both had crippling power in their fists. Unreal, how hard these guys punched at that as middleweights. The had power near to a heavyweight

McClellan certainly ranks up there as one of the best punchers but just because he knocked out Jackson shouldn't give him that title, Jackson wasn't exactly an iron chinned fighter - that was quite a big weakness of his.
