Jules really had all the key plays in the Patriots second dynasty. His pass against the Ravens in 2014 to Amendola was a back breaker kind of play. His huge catch on 3rd and 15 when he got drilled helmet to helmet and still held onto the ball against the Seahawks. Not to mention catching the game winning pass. Then the miracle catch against the Falcons, and many other key catches in that game. Then two years later he wins MVP of the Super Bowl against the Rams. Not bad for a 7th round pick

Not just for a 7th rounder. That’s better than the majority of guys who get drafted all together. Plus you get to be known as the GOAT’s favorite/ most trustworthy/ clutch WR AND you have the respect of BB. Who was just throwing you out on the field in whatever spots he could put you in because he believed in you as a football player. If he doesn’t make the hall of fame I’ll understand but if he does, I would completely understand why. Jules and his dedication and desire to be great is what set us apart in the second half of Brady’s career and if I had to put money on it. I would bet my life savings that Jules makes the catch that welker didn’t in that SB!

As far as I am concerned his performance against the Rams in the Super Bowl was the best. He didn't score, but he had so many third and long catches that frustrated the Rams defense. It was a time of possession game 13-3. Hard to believe they didn't include that.

  • @TimWing23

I would take Edelman in the playoffs over alot of guys. He saved his best for the biggest stage! If Edelman had stayed healthy his entire career there's no doubt in my mind that he'd eventually make the Hall of Fame. If he plays in all 16 games from 2013-2019 he could've had 7 straight 1,000 yard seasons. 2017 He missed the whole season. They would've won that Superbowl vs Philly if Edelman is there. I know Brady threw for a record amount of yards, but having Edelman puts them over the top. In 2015 he was having a career year but was being overused through 8 games he was on pace for 121 rec, 1,358 yards 15 TD, but got injured in the 9th game & missed the final 7 games at the end of the 2015 season after NE started 10-0, they finished 3-4 without him, which cost the Pats home field for the playoffs, which cost them the AFC championship in Denver. They win that game in Foxboro. And they would've beat the Panthers. So if Edelman finishes his career with 4 or 5 rings then he essily gets in the HOF. He still has a shot because he was a big part of the 3 rings he won. But the regular season stats hurt his case. He should've made the Pro Bowl in 2019 over the Broncos WR Sutton.

There are great catches of all time and then there's the Edelman catch. Nothing will surpass that catch Jules made and given the circumstances coming back from a 25-point deficit in the Super Bowl to win, that is a mic drop because all hail in comparison to the Edelman catch. Past, current, and future great catches will never top Edelman's catch.

Legit don't understand how the #2 WR Playoff Performer of all time won't get into the Hall of Fame but someone like Eli who was carried his entire career & posted only two good seasons has a better chance... If anything Edelman should have a way stronger case than Fitzgerald for all the playoff accolades vs the regular season accolades Fitzgerald brings to the HOF case; one is obviously more valuable & came during the biggest stage(s) when he was the starter.

@@user-qy4xo4id1t So is Jerry not better than Moss in alot of people's eyes because of the Playoff Metrics on top of everything else? Moss is the more dominant (arguably better receiver) over Rice, but 8/10 will go with Rice solely at times due to the Playoff stats & Impact on the most important games he was able to stack up on power house teams. Edelman was a slot & not gifted with 6'2+ height like Cooper Kupp or Really Dominant #1 Receivers have & still put up really good stats (such as 84 YPG on average in 4 Super Bowls & (3) being top 5 defenses those years (Falcons, Rams, & Seahawks)). The impact in the post season runs should be more of a reason to get in than a bum like Eli who got CARRIED every year. I bet there are people who would argue that Welker should be in first before Edelman & that dude shouldn't even be allowed in any conversion with Edelman in my opinion... If amazing players with the stats of legends like Torry Holt & Steve Smith can't get in, then what's the point of saying stats is what matters to be in the Hall??? They were better players, but Edelman had more impact on the game & that biggest moments (on multiple upon multiple occasions) & should be in the HOF with the notion that players in the Hall should be those that had an unbelievable impact on the game as an individual for atleast a good amount of seasons.
