What a joy that Seth interviews writers. That’s one of the (many) reasons why I’ll die on this hill: that this is the best late night show there is. Hands down.

Funny how she keeps shaking her head, probably mirroring the sentiment of the last writer he had on who said "thanks for having authors on the show", she seemed to be in disbelief ^^

His questions for authors are always so intelligent and insightful, as well as respectful to the authors. You can tell he is a real reader, and there are not a lot of those anymore.

So a kid comes into the store and says, “Hey mister….I gotta do a book report for my film appreciation class on ‘NCIS Sydney’. Have you got something?” And I say, son…I have just the book for you! It’s called ‘Analysing NCIS Sydney for a book report at Bronx Science High.’ Here’s the opening paragraph: ‘NCIS Sydney is partially funded by the US and Australian governments to promote AUKUS alliance relations. CBS and Paramount are in it too. This show yet again uses Hollywood bs monumental dramatic licence to hold the viewer and sell the stream time access. The US NCIS and Aussie Fed. Police greet each other like Putin greeting Navalny: NCIS agent: I’m in charge here. Aussie cop: Phuck off. I’m in charge in here. It’s real teenage boy get-off-my-turf stuff, when it actually it would go like this: NCIS: Great to meet you. I phuckin’ love the Aussie accent. Aussie cop: Hey bro. I phuckin’ love NFL but hate Brady with a passion. NCIS: I’m a Falcons fan. Right there with you bro. Brady sucks balls. And the kid says, “No offence…that all sounds a bit amateurish and street talk.” So I read the author profile blurb and it says ‘Author, Barry Mulligan, is an amateur film reviewer in Sydney. His cousin is a bounty hunter in Colorado, and both guys phuckin’ rock!’ ….but the kid is already out the door…
