She will absolutely win the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series this fall. I can't imagine who could beat her.

@@deafgd2402 Correct - the Emmy eligibility window each year is from June 1 of the previous year to May 31st of the current year. The Bear Season 1 came out in June 2022, so it was one of the very first shows of the 2022-23 TV season. The Emmys are normally held in September before the start of the network seasons, but the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes forced them to move the 75th awards ceremony to January 2024. The 76th Emmy Awards will be held this September, and The Bear S2 (released June 2023) will be eligible then.
She deserves an Emmy nomination for S2E6.

Gotta disagree. Her acting was overwrought, overacted & overreaching. She was a "star" attempting to play an important character role & she did NOT do it justice**. Her role, Sarah Paulson's role & John Mulvaney roles should have been played by "no-name" actors, OR, fantabulous character actors like Bob Odenkirk & Olivia Coleman who are able don the cloak of the character & you don't even think of all the accolades they've received Olivia Coleman should be nominated for playing Chef in the Forks episode ( Ebon too) - Her acting was understated & ABSOLUTELY beautiful. *** I come from a HUGE Italian-American family with loads of mental issues- so I know what I know

During the last part of her interview she said it wasn’t always like that. She had been presented parts before that could have made her an even bigger star earlier but didn’t take them - Chicago and Aliens come to mind. Those movies made Sigourney Weaver and Catherine Zeta Jones megastars. It’s not that she had the smarts for it: she just kept trying and trying, and now she has an Oscar and a career resurgence not usually seen for women her age.

That scene was , at the same time, the most uncomfortable and fantastic performance I recall seeing on TV...Ever. I sat on the edge of my seat crawling out of my skin but loving every second of it.

I loved The Bear! Super excited for season 3! The first two seasons were amazing!
Jamie is such a breath of fresh air 😊 she deserves her success
As I look back over the past six decades of my life, I can see where I repeatedly stated goals for myself to live and work and do things all over this country and most of them have come true because I believed it and started making moves that aligned with them.
Regular 27 year old view watcher here. Met my date two weeks ago off of a dating app. One of our first messages was me saying I had been wanting to visit his home country but doubt I ever will bc there’s a slim likelyhood of me actually going (he’s American born, but visit every now and again). He jokingly/flirtatiously replied that I should manifest it, I jokingly said I will. We’ve had a handful of dates so far and he’s been super sweet and is extremely intelligent. It’s only been two weeks. This would be my first real relationship, since I’ve never really dated, if things go well. I’m now kinda excited to “manifest” it. I have a deep feeling if I keep going along with it, even if I’m a little uncomfortable/hesistant with the newness of a relationships/intimacy, that things will work out if I don’t chicken out. I’ve always ended things in dating because I would get scared or feel awkward with new things, so now I’m going to actually try to go with the flow and not abruptly end things. I’ll comment back sometime again to update people if anyone cares haha.
What's amazing here is JLC's humility. She is well aware that she is almost like Hollywood royalty because of her parents yet she has no qualms fan-girling about her recent luck with awards and roles, and supporting her friends. Legend!
I love her so much not only is Jamie Lee Curtis a great actress but also a tremendous storyteller I can listen to her all day long
Ordering the book today for my twin granddaughters 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ thank you Mrs. Curtis
We love you Jamie. 🥰
She is intuitive!!! ❤ love her!!
The writing in this is so phenomenal that I appreciate them bringing up support group Al-anon into the story line. Any one who lived with an addict will recognize the family dynamics/roles each family member plays in the alcoholic home environment.
I love JLC but also the confidence of someone who grew up with very famous movie star parents
as far as learning how subconscious mind works. what Jamie lee Curtis did was exactly that, once you want it, its already yours, so feel as if you already own that to spend your days keeping good vibes, and it will come to you. your ego will give you hard time believing it. we are so brainwashed to believe something totally different, but it could be that easy to get what you want🥰

Wow!!! Just love her, growing up I didn’t know she was this type of person, Such a cool spirit! God has definitely favored her! Especially when you’ve suffered in peace!
I believe in manifesting things that you want.
Jamie Lee Curtis🎉👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏We can actually feel your Joy ❤
I love Jamie but the only thing that gets me in all her interviews is how long she can take a short story and go all around the world to tell it lol
Love Jamie Lee Curtis! dana t.

She’s wonderful! So down to earth and lovely! Sounds like she has a direct line to the Universe!!
This was probably the only accurate portrayal of mental illness that I have ever seen on tv or film. It was amazing and beautiful and horrifying. Well done!

She deserves a Emmy for season 3 ep 8! Wow! Absolutely amazing! I have tears!

I love Jamie Lee. She describes my life trajectory perfectly. Another Jamie, author Jamie Ford, described a group who were out of the mainstream and artistically inclined as, "a herd of unicorns." So wonderful to hear our cohort represented. 💖

Unbelievable performance I think she should get an Oscar for her performance.
i had no idea it was her until this video!! she’s unrecognisable in the role
Manifesting is just knowing it’s gonna be yours, whatever you want. Control your thoughts. Keep your focus on it.
At the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards JamieLeeCurtis will win
Everything she does is second to none..too much talent..love her..
She’s also a nepo baby and massively privileged, so the opportunities are kind of always surrounding her in a way. Inspirational nonetheless, but we can’t just ignore that.

@Dartagnan010

@@bihearts Honestly, I've seen a rise in popularity for spirituality in the past few years, especially online & the overestimation of the ''manifestation'' thing. I have no problem with Jamie Lee Curtis, or with anyone who grew up privileged & is actively benefitting from it because that's the point (as long as they are good people and actually working hard like she did), but I think that the attitude of ''I manifested this life'' without being honest about the very real privileges that contributed a lot more to her achieving all of this than just ''wishing for it'' is harmful & misleading, especially to other people who don't have the same opportunities who might think that this lifestyle is available to them. Ultimately, I don't think ''we'' need to do anything but understand that JLC didn't just ''manifest'' a role in The Bear (the same year she won an Oscar) & just wished celebs were more upfront about everything that is included in their success. It's like they try so hard to sell us this dream that ''if it can happen for me, it can happen for you'' without mentioning the money & connections they have in the background that most people don't have ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
i love jamie
Jamie is a whimsical bag of something. She sounds touched.
What an incredible performance. Must’ve been exhausting

She’s brilliant

Fantastica!!
The eligibility period for the 75th awards show is June 1, 2022-May 31, 2023. That means that only the first season of The Bear - which premiered June 23, 2022 - is on the table for this year's Emmys, the first time the show is eligible to be nominated. Corey Hendrix, Abby Elliott, Oliver Platt, Ayo Edebiri, Jeremy Allen White, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach on 'The Bear'. CHUCK HODES/FX So while Curtis, Odenkirk, John Mulaney, Sarah Paulson, Gillian Jacobs, Will Poulter, Olivia Colman, Robert Townsend, and Sarah Ramos won't be nominated this year for The Bear, they'll definitely be on the menu for possible 2024 Emmy nominations - along with the rest of the cast and creators for season 2.
that role was insane
I recently found out she's good friends with Jodie Foster, so I wonder if Foster was offered Donna first. Whoever it was, I'm glad they turned it down. JLC was phenomenal in this role.
