23 minutes and they spent at least 22 of them cooking away! No drama, no spectacle, no entertainment business nonsense, just two incredibly learned and knowledgeable cooks teaching people how to cook. Love it.

The running joke of the black vs white pepper throughout the series was great.

These two are treasures. Why didn't I watch when they were originally aired, I'll never know, but I'm so happy to see these on KZread now. Thank you so much for posting them.

This is wonderful, quality television. No unnecessary bells and whistles, just lots of class.

This is exactly how cooking shows should be produced.

The magnitude of these two and their collaboration is as heavy as it was back then. Maybe even more so. For us Chefs and home cooks alike, this is like Church

I love there friendship they love cooking both so educated and humble. Not hot heads like to days chefs.

I can't believe how talented Jaques is with his knives. He is amazing. I remember watching those two on PBS. Some times there are tears in my eyes because they were so good together. :-)

All of the salmon dishes were PERFECT!!!

the entire 23 mins was just full of surprises, learning so much from these 2 masters, tricks after tricks!

I felt completely lost when trying to decide a way to cook a whole fresh salmon and wasn’t getting anywhere with google, Julia child rested my anxious mind around dinner parties once again. Looks like we’ll be eating well tonight :)

(RIP) TO THE LATE GLORIA PEPIN, FORMER WIFE OF JACQUES PEPIN, PBS'S FAVORITE TV CHEF. SHE WAS HIS ROCK & THEY BOTH RENOVATED THEIR MADISON, WI HOME & ALSO THEY OPENED A RESTAURANT NEARBY WHICH WAS QUITE SUCCESSFUL. SHE WAS 83 YEARS OLD.

They actually live in Madison Connecticut. When I heard the news, I was brought to a few tears. They were a great couple who did so much for the cooking world. Jacques even has a foundation now called the Jacques Pépin foundation. I don’t know what it’s about. I just heard about it

I believe it was Madison, Connecticut If you listen to him talk about his home or recipes he always talk about Connecticut.

I never get tired watching these 2 magnificent chefs. They make cooking look so easy. Great shows!

Same here. Whenever I watch Jacques or Julia cook, it just brings a big smile to my face. A lot of people say that Jacques is the Bob Ross of cooking.

They were great together.

I think it depends on the quality of the white pepper. Cheaper white pepper often has a terrible after taste.

A better way to scale salmon is to use a Yanagiba to slice the scales off in strips. It’s clean and will not bruise the meat.

I can debone and twizzer the salmon at work but i let the men gut them out.ppl often buy the head and caucus leftover in my store.

I expected everything but a cycle pump
