@@RhythmEmotions ...I did. I didn't remember seeing anything at the time that made me feel like I was an equal or I hate to say it, normal. So I spent the entirety of primary school (eventually secondary too) feeling different to everyone else and being bullied by other kids in primary that already knew I was gay. Also, why do you think you know otherwise?

At the most you could mimic gay actions if you see 2 men kissing. But at 5 feelings and thinking your gay without knowing the meaning is ludicrous.

Statistics show that the earlier and more comprehensive sex ed is, the better the result for the children in all the negative areas of sex, child pregnancy, STDs etc. The USA that has the worst sex ed, has by far the most teen pregnancies of all the developed countries. I was a teacher in the 00s and was forced to "teach" other subjects. Noone wanted to do it of course but you dont get a choice. Perhaps if your school was particualrly wealthy then you may have been lucky not to have endured it but most schools are so cash strapped (i.e the Academy chains have hoovered the money up) that it's now the norm. No one wants to teach a subject that they are not a specialist in.

As soon as you hand your child over to the school you have lost them.

As a parent, I was considering of moving back to asia where education is more normal. Looking at how the west is going scares me as a mum raising 2 small girls. I’m extremely grateful to Dr Hillary Cass and to those fighting this craziness! And so delighted to hear the new government guideline regarding sex education and removing this ridiculous gender identity from schools. I can finally breathe knowing there’s a light at this very dark tunnel.

Ok, I'm 76 and "things" were different back in the early '50s but we were still abused - for instance in my fist school I was both beaten and locked in a cupboard for the sin of being left handed. Growing up is a complicated process for our young. there is TOO MUCH information from media, and, sadly, this current fashion for re-inventing gender. Why can't we just let our little boys and girls enjoy being boys and girls. Keep it simple for them. Of course some at some time will develop into alternate lifestyles but don't confuse them before they are ready. This trans-gender fashion is just that - like tattooing and other body mutilations. It is great that our society now accepts homosexuality and lesbianism, but don't thrust such confusing issues on the young.

Also they can stop teaching Muslim ideology too

This is grooming children and keeping it from parents is disgusting.

First off, I agree that some topics should be off the table for young children with regards sex education, but hiding a lot of natural things that you start feeling around 9 and 10 should be taught. I struggled with my sexuality at around 9-10 as i did not fancy boys and had to find my own way in life, so we still need education of youngsters that there are alternat lifestyles and it is natural. Second can you name any school that is teaching oral sex to under 9 year olds or is it just political hot air using children as a political weapon ?

Why on earth were you thinking of your sexuality at 9 or 10?. Somewhere along the way you were being exposed to people who thought it okay to talk about sex around you. Liking or not liking boys at that age and thinking it was life changing or something is ridiculous. I feel sorry for you. 😞😔
