I agree. But too bad they couldn't edit out the "Allez!"s, which are just as irritating as English "Come on!"s --just noise pollution.

This is such a well put together vid. Had to rewatch that drone shot at the beginning since it was so epic. No music for the majority of the climb - just a pure, clean, climbing performance. Way to go Petzl production team. One of my favorite climbing vids of the year 👌

funfact about the name of the route : eagle-4 is pronounced in French : "il gueule fort" which means "he shouts loudly"

Fabulous achievement. Also excellent filming and the sounds of her breath and effort are more powerful than any cheesy music so thank you for the natural sounds of being at the crag.

That sequence starting at 3:42 is absolutely gruesome. I broke my left wrist watching her move trough that undercling pinch thingy.

I think this send vid would have inspired me by sound alone. Listening to her breathing during the send allowed me to relate to the effort she was expending (especially during the traverse). I may not be a 9b climber, but I sure know the feeling of trying to get in a quick gasp of air while maintaining body tension. JC is a humble badass. Keep sending the burly stuff + leaving the spectators pumped.

I think Laura Rogora's "Ali Hulk..." 9b, Julia Chanourdie's "Eagle-4" 9b and Angela Eiter's "Madam Ching" 9b(?) are the best female climbing performance of the year. All three girls are super strong!

For me as well! First female 9b from someone who looks like a woman (a very fit and strong woman) and not like a 12 year old girl. So motivating to see that you can push the limits with a healthy weight!

@@goldenoctober You're forgetting Angelia Eiter, who certainly does not look like a child and has climbed well-confirmed 9b and suggested the grade for a recent FA as well. I do not care to speculate about the weight of people I do not know the actual weight of (just looking only gets you so far).

I love the guy who keeps saying he's pumped just holding the mobile, while the performance of the year unfolds in front of him ;D

She is such a skilled and strong climber. So happy for her!

No kneepads no 'full-rubber' climbing shoes just pure power and great climbing. Awsome job from this lady

When the mind transports the body to a higher level, it is impossible to distinguish the strength from the motivation. Go high, and go further! A privilege to accompany movements and mental discipline. A strong hug from Brazil.

Thanks for giving us her hi quality breathing! It adds a lot to the authenticity of the climbing moment - e.g. I automatically rest with her.

It’s interesting to compare Julia and Adam Ondra on this same route. Julia gets my vote for the best performance!

@@IsuckYoungBlood yes but if you look at la sportiva athletes it's over 90% Miuras and Solutions for hard sport climbing. And in a more general sense almost nobody uses such a stiff and unagressive shoe for hard sport climbing, that's why it's interesting
