Jules's lung cancer story

At 38, Jules doesn't look like someone who would be diagnosed with lung cancer and she believe this, coupled with her non-respiratory symptoms, meant she wasn't diagnosed as quickly as she could have been. She is sharing her experience to help others avoid similar delays.

The worst thing you can tell a cancer patient "I know someone that has cancer, but oh they died". Trust me it's the worst thing anyone could say 😞

Your story sounds like what I am going through. I have been having chest pain, left shoulder pain and spine pain. I have other medical issues so they keep saying it’s my heart. The cat scan shows a nodule in my left lung. I am increasingly short of breath and my C02 level just came back elevated. Going to first of many specialist appointments today ortho to see if something is wrong in my back. God bless you and continued good health with your magic pill

Wonder if she got the Covid vaccine? Seems like a lot of people are getting cancer lately, rare cancers…quick spreading cancers. Prayers for her healing. Stop getting those shots, people!

As an American, yes yes it is. No healthcare system is perfect but the UKs is pretty dang good, as is healthcare in many countries. Cost was not an issue from her. She was given care relatively quickly. Her hospital was likely close to where she lived. And her doctors have been well trained and provided her with a treatment, which at least for a period of time, kept her stage 4 cancer stable. Could aspects of her care been better? Sure. But that doesn’t negate the fact that overall her care was very good.
